Valle and sent letters trying to collect a debt that is almost twenty years old. And from a bank that I've never had an account with savings or checking much less a loan. To old for them to collect on anyway

I just received a call from this # she said she was calling from the DRS?

I cant remember the name they said but they were calling about "something" that came across her desk with the last 4 of my SS number saying it had not yet turned into a tax liability but was a debt over over $700 bucks on a payday loan I took our YEARS ago...I told them they didnt know what they were talking about and I thought it was a scam...she said she did know and proceeded to tell me my whole SS number...Yes I did have an OLD payday loan but not for that amount..I just hung up!

It's not illegal to call you at work.  It is however illegal to call you at work once you've notified the company that "your employer forbids taking personal calls at work."  Once they have been notified of that, any further attempts to contact you at work are in violation of the fair debt collections procedures act.

Not sure, but pretty sure that calling you at work is ILLEGAL. Complain to the state Attorney General.

I.D. said "Tanya Garrett". Answered, gave me a choice to press 1, if I was the person they were looking for, which I am not, and 2, if I was not. But I keep getting calls for the same people by another last name, if I don't try to HELP correct them. So, I hit 2 and got a GUY. Immediately, I told him - or TRIED to tell him - that I was NOT that person and these folks have not had this/my number for 4 years, but was interrupted with a very rude, "LOOK, don't press one, again".  I hate cussing, especially cussing people, but did. JERK!!!

Why don't callers use a phonebook or online directory, so they know who they are calling !?!

Whoever Tanya Garrett is and whatever company she works for, IF she has any affiliation, should get her I.D. changed. Otherwise, it is deceptive and probably purposeful.
