If they call you just tell them put me on your do not call list they won't argue with you over that because they can get fired trust me I personally worked there. In order to keep their job they have to never take no for an answer so you must say that you want to be put on the do not call list. They will read a thing stating that it takes up too 30 days to be completely removed but your number gets deleted right then and there from their personal location. Trust me when your not interested as a telemarketer we prefer you too say do not call list or prefer that you just hang up because when you try to be polite by staying on the line we have no option but to keep coming at you with reasons to not hang up. Make sure you get their name that way if you do get a call after 30 days you can prove you said it because everything honestly is recorded. They are very strict there and I got fired b/c frankly im too nice and I never wanted to be aggressive when people told me they weren't interested I understood only tired to get them to stay on the line about 3 or 4 times then I would let them go but we are never suppose to hang up only the people we talk to are suppose to hang up. So don't waste your time or theres just say do not call list and hang up.

Got a call promising $169 package for 4 days 3 nights from som travel company acting on behalf of Wyndham. Asked for info for mail/ email to decide but they insisted signing up over the phone. Did not mention anything about the sales pitch I guess that would have been mentioned had I agreed to sign up.
If Wyndham wanted to offer this they should mail a nice flyer to their so called valued clients.Woudl be much more effectiv than some sleazy marketing company that hides is caller id.

No call ID from 417-708-9170.. thanking us by name for staying with them last year and invite to a vacation package.. Told them we do not accept solicitation calls and hung up. Blacklisted the number.

Some telemarketer guy representing Days Inn wants to hawk a vacation package.

Wyndham resorts package high-pressure sales pitch. I told the caller I wasn't interested, and he persisted, so I bid him a good day and hung up.
Like "Amanda" above, I'm too busy working 12+ hr/dy so that I can make enough money to live after the government steals all the rest.

Nick I don't k.ow what Eric does, but my guess is your major wasn't business or English. Would I be correct in that assumption?
Curt 2011-12-21 22:16:11 Unknown
Well put "Dave". I have also been hassled by them. In fact, about 10 minutes ago. Do you know if we have any legal recourse? I have never responded to a post before about anything. Not much of a computer person so I don't even know if you will see this.
Yeah Right 2011-12-20 00:16:48 Unknown
And when did you start working for Wyndham, "Nick"?
Rich 2011-12-17 19:17:50 Unknown
I'm guessing that Nick and Troy are the same person, and he is a Wyndham employee. Both use UR in place of "you are.."
Troy 2011-12-11 07:55:29 Unknown

My husband and I had stayed at a Wyndham Wingate Hotel in April 2011 then some time after that another family member stayed at another hotel in the Wyndham family.
We have ALL received so many calls from DIFFERENT phone numbers all relating to the telemarketing for Wyndham Resorts.
We get so many hang ups or rude sales people who talk over you, do not understand that no means NO or they become rude, aggressive and somewhat threatening when you say no and to please stop calling. Forget asking to talk to their direct supervisor because they'll say you have to wait then put you on hold and opps they disconnect or or they outright refuse to let you talk to their supervisor. They record their phone calls, yeah right!
Then you get the annoying hang ups!
I forget HOW many phone numbers they have used but I block block block and now I am out of numbers to block.
We now go out of our way to NOT stay in a Wyndham hotel.
They'll give your phone number out and you'll get endless phone calls.
Yet the hotel claims they do not do that. Yeah right, we just only started to get phone calls from Wyndham Resorts after having the misfortune of staying at one. Believe me that will NEVER happen again.
Another thing it is BS for the hotel to claim they are not tied to the telemarketing. Sell the story somewhere else.
Avoid Wyndham Hotels unless you don't mind harassing phone calls!
OH and requesting that they stop calling and harassing you does NOTHING!

Got a call from this number ... but I don't answer numbers that I don't recognize ... since Wyndam has resorted to cold calling my number ... which they got because I gave it to them as a customer, they will be removed from my list of Hotels to do business with. Consiquences for unethical business practices rarely add to the bottom line ... but can easily subtract from it! You might want to take note Wyndam Hotels ... don't use telemarketers to promote your company ... they are nearly the lowest form of life on the planet!

I received a call from "Missouri Call" at (417) 708-9170 that was a telemarketing sales call to sign up for Wyndham Resorts getaway promotion. The cost was $169. I explained to Breanna that I was interested, but not this year. Maybe next year we would take a vacation and stop by the Smokey Mountain Tennessee Wyndham Resort location to check it out. The 4 day vacation would just include a two (2) hour marketing presentation. A manager named Travis Herbert claimed I could get a $75 debit card if I signed up today over the phone. Then the price became $159 with a special employee manager's discount. After 20 minutes on the phone, the so called manager became agitated and rude. The high pressure sales tactics were way out of hand! I ended the call, but not before "Travis" claimed that I could verify this wasn't a scam by checking online. Well... I DID check online and found MANY complaints about the sales tactics and marketing. Most complaints tell of being lied to by salespeople or being scammed. Lesson learned - don't answer out of state sales calls from (417) area code!!

Thanks for the clues on this number. I never answer unknown numbers received on my Skype line and they left no message but I was curious about it anyway. Yes, I'm a frequent Wyndham guest, for many decades now, at everything from economy to resort, and I've never gone wrong with them through 100's of stays (and if you do, they WILL fix it, for help call their corporate number and not the individual hotels) but cold-call telemarketing sounds like something new, their usual method of communication is opt-in mailing list only, so business must be slow or something... Anyway previous posters, thanks for clearing the mystery.

I called the number back and told them please remove my # from your list. She tried to offer me a deal, I stopped her and told her to remove the #. She said she would. We will see.

Just called my office looking for a Mitchell Ford- huh? I told her this is a business and there is no one here by that name. I blacklist all shady phone numbers that manage to get through to my office phone, and sometimes they get around it- I hope these people don't. I'm busy enough trying to get all my work done before the end of the day.

Recd a call from this # @9:55AM. This is Wyndham Resorts telemarketing for a so-called GREATLY REDUCED Vacation package. Don't be fooled, folks!! If they get you to come to the resort, you will be getting nothing but a weekend of VERY high presure sales talk, to buy a lifetime vacation package similar to timeshare. I told the jerk to take my name/number off of his sucker list, & never to call again!! We will see if they do it. .
