Call to say they will lower your rates on credit cards and tell you to press 1 and when you do that, they hang up!!
alanj44 2013-03-04 22:27:07 Unknown
OK, hey guys stop calling this number!
"Anthony H Slowitz" 2013-03-02 22:22:30 Unknown
Wasting their time, the way you do, is the ONLY way I was able to completely stop their annoying calls that had gone on for months. Once the "card services" scammers learn there is no one to cheat at a number, and they have had their time taken up, that number will be removed from their robodialer list.As you said, if more people used this method there would be fewer people annoyed by their incessant calls. If you're interested in the method I used simply Google my name.

Try this - next time they call, answer and when a live person comes on, blow a whistle as long and hard as you can into the phone.
Can't wait 2013-03-02 21:16:01 Telemarketer
I always press 1 to talk to a live agent. I give them a correct name since they have caller id on their machine. I give them a false charge card number with false expiration card date and false 3 digit code on back. Then they ask for bank phone number on card. I always give them the government do not call number 888-382-1222 or some times I give them the state's attorney general phone number. I love it when they chew me out and threaten me for childish pranks. What can they do? Report me for giving them false info when they robo call with a spoofed number! If everybody give them the same bs they give us these calls will be greatly reduced because we have consumed their time.

A Big scam that takes advantage of mainly the elderly and the gullible.Warn others of the "card services" scammers, especially these 2 vulnerable groups. The "card services" scammers have no morals!

Don't be fooled by the "card services" scammers who are out to cheat you once they trick you into giving them your credit card information! The callers are drug addicts trying to rip people off to pay for their disgusting habit!

Called 9:14 this AM, left message. As usual it sounded like the 2nd half of a recorded message.
"...changes before the next billing cycle. Again, this is your final notice as it relates to the federal stimulus. So press 1 now to take advantage of this today".
I've gotten at least a dozen of these in the last year, in addition to several other unwanted calls daily.

The infamous "lower your card interest rates" robo-call, from yet another fake phone number.

This number keeping calling. We've requested they don't but the calls continue anyway. Is there a way to stop them?

Ok Folks - didn't pick up, thanks to 1800notes. Thx.

Apparently, these calls are from a call center. The same number 417-800-2296 is being used for both Card Services and also a pitch for supposedly saving on prescription costs. They're calling my cell phone and leaving messages -- a woman's voice with a British accent, asking if i want to save on prescriptions?!
The Do Not Call List is completely worthless. What's the point in signing up for it? I registered our house and cell phones as soon as it was set up, many years ago. But I get more junk calls now than I ever did!

Same robocall recorded monkey with a script offering to lower interest on credit cards.
Went away briefly, but back to 2x or more per day, in Kenner, LA area
amadillo 2013-02-26 23:43:20 Unknown
Received a call from this number stating that they could bring prices down on my medications. They left a message on my answering machine. I am glad I googled this number to find out that it is a scam.
Dose of their own medicine 2013-02-26 22:08:16 Unknown
First call with message from this #. Asked (British accent) if I wanted to lower prescription costs and if qualified it's possible to pay nothing, press 1, to have # removed from their list press 9. I have Xfinity with the option to add numbers to a list and have them forwarded to another #. So, since I had received a message from the "Reduce Credit Card" scammers I added that # to the forward all calls to this number and have about ten other BS numbers all getting forwarded to the scammers # including this new one 417-800-2296. Hope they enjoy it.

I asked to be put on the dnc list when I answered this call. The woman on the other end acted as if I was singing to her. She refused to put a manager on and told me that he would not talk to me because she did not like my voice. I told her that I will be reporting her to the BBB, and hung up the phone.

If you keep calling I will report you to the attorney General of Pennsylvania. Take me off your call list.

Scammers do not have to abide by the National Do Not Call Listings. That is what the FTC told me. Only legal telemarketers have to honor the Listings.
Mike 2013-02-26 04:37:48 Unknown
I get these calls all the time.... weekly if not more. Scammers do not abide by the National Do Not Call Listings. So there is nothing to stop them from calling. One really has to be careful if you call back. Some scammers (not this one: 417-800-2296) are from out of the country like Jamaca, Virgin Islands or other countries and they can cost you thousands of dollars just by letting them answer YOUR return call. So be careful. I check a number out on the computer first to see where they are located.

Yet another violation of the Do Not Call list by Card Services. This time it's a recording regarding discount pharmaceuticals.

This number rang 3 times for one ring only, very quickly, then nothing. I don't know what they are trying to do NOW, but the same number has been used extensively for some sort of scam "credit card debt lowering service". They are doing something different now. I think it's a Michigan number, or at least that is what it goes back to. I think they want me to call the number back, but I'm not going to.
