This number called me two hours ago. Just let it go to VM.

Receive many phone calls from 1-417-800-2511 asking for Japanese male 18 or above to participate in a studies.  My number is unlisted and registered with the 'do-not-call' list.  The rep on the phone was unable to clarify how they get my number.

My call was from TRG Polling. The voice mail was an offer to lower my electric bills if only I would press 1 or 2 or something. They really wanted me to do that, because they told me to about 5 times.  I was also given the opportunity to remove my number from their call list if I pressed 5 or something. Yeah, I'm sure of that.

I just got a call from this number and it was a recording.The recording said this is P I E .Do you know someone with a drug and alcohol problem,then went into drug abuse and if I know someone with a drug problem they will connect me to someone.I hung up.I don't have a drug abuse problem or any friends or family anyway.The people I do I wouldn't go to someone I don't know.It was very strange.

Something to do about susbtance abuse. Won't stop calling

This appears to be the same robo-calling group that also uses 417-800-2301, 2317, 2330, and 2357 - for whatever that is worth. Good luck.

I don't answer them either and mine are increasing, the same numbers are now calling 2x a day

caller id shows it as TRG Polling; and, they'll give you a "gift" if you answer their "questions":  just hang up if you happen to pick up the phone without looking at caller id.

11/05 14:23  2nd call from this number.  First as 9/20.  Didn't answer either time.  TRG Polling doesn't mean a thing to me and I don't answer anything I don't recognize.  Even friends and family with unidentified numbers have to leave a message and I will get back to them.  All others get deleted.  If too persistent, they get blocked.

What interesting dialogue.  While I very rarely leave comments, I do read them.  But I feel I have done enough research to make informed comments and hopefully educate some of the people in this community.  I started keeping a log on April 1, 2013, and as of today of have had approx. 375 calls.   We're all in this together, like it or not.  Voice your opinion, but it's not necessary to be harassing or rude.  I know it feels great to vent about the unending harrassment and the lack of action to stop it.  But you need to calm down and understand how this stuff works.
If you haven't visited the DNC site lately, do so as it it is now a part of the FTC web site.there is more information available for consumers.  It works to a certain extent, but criminals have their own code of ethics or lack thereof.  Block calls that are repeated calls.   My provider allows only 30.  Never engage in conversation, just hang up, or don't answer.  Never do business with anyone over the phone!  Ever!
Never give your phone number out if you can help it.   I have a home business and took it off my business license.
Caller IDs are "spoofed" using fake numbers that are invalid and cannot be blocked.  This technology was designed for use by domestic violence victims.  Good ideas, turned on their ears by criminals.  I have called my provider about the problem and threatened to discontinue my landline.  They didn't care one bitMy provider offers a service that is supposed to reject anonymous calls.  For the most part, they do.  But why aren't they doing more?  Why isn't the government ?  That's the big question.   Boils down to $$$s.
Your long distance carrier is making money off how calls are routed and the volume of traffic.  Who do you think makes the most calls?   Telemarketers!  For more info read the lawsuit that AT&T filed against Google in regards to their VoIP phone service..

the call I got was for polling did not say for what, I like to do polls so I jumped on it like a fish out of water..in return I get 2 free nights at one of the following,Tahoe, lost Wages, Atlantic city, those are all of gambling.. chances are I would spend more money at one of those places than the free stay.. please press 1 if I accept.. so, I press nothing after a couple of please press 1 to accept, which I refused to do,  I was disconnected...

It would seem that this could have been a so called survey. The problem with some of these so called surveys is that I believe they are a front to cover up what is actually a scam.

Either way it indicates that it is a valid number. The difference to me is that answering the call yourself proves that you are willing to entertain them.

Thompson Research Group - survey.

I need my answering machine, because I am not at home a lot.  It could be family emergancy, so I need my answering machine.

Received a call from this number. Claimed to be Thompson Research and said I would get two free nights at the resort of my choosing if I completed a survey.

We weren't home when they called.  They did not leave a message.  The Caller ID said:  TRG POLLING

These calls are made using a "robo caller"-they work their way down successive numbers until they get a hit.

I can't remember why these people called me & who are these people for calling me, I get a constantly phone call from Card Member Services to reduce y interest rate. I keep telling these people, not to call me gain & I am registered for do not call registry, nothing stops these people for calling me.

I also got the call, but I didn't mind the call, Why, because I bought a Digitone Call Blocker.  www.digitone.com The first time they call, it rings my phone and the call comes through. I then block the number and the next time they call, my phone doesn't even ring and the blocker hangs up on them. You can even block entire area codes. I have it setup to block any incoming calls with the 855 area code. The blocker keeps track of all calls, good and bad ones. Then I like to check to see who got hung up on just for fun like I am now.

You need to buy one of these, you?ll like it. No monthly fees either

I got a call and it was a survey about guns and politics. I did it because they said there was a free gift. Then a person called me right after the survey. She asked me all these questions and then I asked her if it was a timshare and she said she'd get back to me. It was basically a timeshare pitch. The free gift is I get the 3 day / 2 night stay in a hotel, but I have to listen to a 60 - 90 minute pitch. When she told me that I told her I was not interested and I wanted her to remove my name from her list and not call me again. She asked if I could give her a few more minutes to explain things and I said goodbye and hung up.

They call, it rings 3 times and hangs up, typical robo-dialer....

Here we go again: "Resrch Study 417 800 2511" -- yeah, right. They just called me for the second time in a week. I didn't answer; they left no message. Is anyone with even a modicum of policing authority paying any attention to any of this? Given that they keep calling from the same number, why can't someone shut them down?
