I think that this is a telemarketer.  Called me at 7:42 pm, no message left.

This is Wyndham Vacation Resorts.  We were calling in refrence to some business with one of our hotel chains in the past, and to offer a discount on a future getaway.

It is agains federal law for us to leave a message, thats why we call back.

Called twice today- once this afternoon, which I answered, & again tonight, while I was out. It's a Wyndham Resorts telemarketing group, trying to give you a discount rate to get you to come & buy their timeshares!! I told the girl who called I wasn't interested. So, they try again, 2 HOURS LATER.Glad I wasn't here to answer the second time, or I would have gone BALLISTIC??!! I am on the do not call list, but I guess they got around it by knowing I had  stayed in one of their hotels five years ago. I hava changed my phone number less than five months ago, & they already got my name & number connected!! They are PERSISTENT, to say it mildly!!

Do not EVER give Wyndam your phone number! This company will harrass you. They call and ask for my husband AT LEAST 3x a day.  Apparently he did business with them at some point in time so reporting them to the do not call register was futile.  They are calling to offer a "great deal" and even though I listen to their schpiel and decline they continue to call back - sometimes even on the same day! I have asked every telemarketer, including their main office to stop the calls (you can try this number:  800-914-8021)  Some even have the audacity to be snotty with ME because I am not interested in being harassed and disturbed on a daily basis.  Furthermore they say it will take 30 days to process your request to be taken off the list-seriously?! What kind of show are these people running? I warn you - do not do business with these people!!! The next time they call I am calling the police and filing a complaint...I have already left this information on every site I can find regarding this subject and contacted the better business bureau.

I've noticed a missed call on my cell phone at 10:30pm for the past three nights. Last night I answered it. I could tell it was a telemarketer because of the pause when I first said hello. After a moment, a man came on and asked for someone who doesn't live here. I told him that he had the wrong number. He said something along the lines of "Oh, that's a shame. I'm so-and-so from Wyndham Vacations. I was calling to offer her a free vacation. So buddy, where so you like to travel to?". Being put off a bit by this person calling me "buddy" (not to mention the fact that I HATE telemarketing calls! Especially at 10:30 at night!), I told him "Not interested. Don't call here again!" and hung up the phone.

I don't know if it'll do any good, but if they call again, I'll report them.
First, isn't it illegal for them to call after 9pm?
Second, isn't it illegal for them to auto dial cell phones?
And finally, I am listed in the do not call registry. (I'm sure their defense would be that they "accidentally" dialled the wrong number.)

Call several times a day asking for someone who doesn't live here, but then offer me the great deal on a hotel room.  They refuse to stop calling.  I guess they get around the DNC list by pretending that the call is a wrong number.

Warning ! They're at it again.  Received a call from 417-877-2606 twice in the last 2 days asking to speak with my boss.  I've tried to get them to leave their name and the opportunity to leave a message; however, the caller is quick to refuse the option and refuses to cater any information to anyone other than the person they are calling for.  Hence, the'll be calling again.  Now that I realize that they're not calling regarding a personal matter, I will have request that they discontinue calling.  Perhaps this is a perfect opportunity to file a complaint about this with my Attorney General's office.

I get calls from this number at least 1-2x a day. I think it is from a list sold to them from Marriott Timeshares or Wyndham timeshare sales, as these are the only 2 that recently have had contact with us, and now I get these calls! I see this # appear on my caller ID & dont answer.  It automatically knows how my voice mail is set & either hangs up or ? as there is never anyone talking to me if I do answer before the answering machine.
Not sure if my complaint to them would make them call more or would really help, as I've had both happen in the past.  Good luck to us all :<(

Calls several times a day.  Pretends to be calling someone else, but will make me the special offer.  They ask for a different person every time, none of which have lived at this address or phone for at least the last 11 years.  We are on the DNC list and do not fill out contest entries.  Looks like they are trying to bypass the DNC list by pretending that it is a wrong number.

I receive these calls.  Interesting if there is a connection with Wyndham Hotels.  I stay at one of theirs once a year.  If that is how they get our numbers, is it worth writing the Hotels to protest, and also writing magazines such as Travel & Leisure or I believe some of the others where abuses of this kind can be reported, to go public with this abuse which is perpetrated by the Hotel company?

just got a call again from this number. They asked to speak with my child and when he answered, the man hung up.  We recently stayed at a  Wyndham hotel so that may be the reason that our number is being called.
They should let you know that your number may be used for these purposes. Now that I know about this, we will quit staying at Wyndham.

A person with a heavy Filipino accent asks for me by name. Goes into free gift pitch. I just have to go to office and pick it up. Wow, sounds great! I ask how they got my  number. She replied that a friend must have given it out or I left it at one of their hotels. I just got this phone number and haven't given it out to anyone except my work. Instead of losing control, I chose to have fun with them. The first time I talked to them, I had them on the phone for 45 minutes. They started off with the fronter who told me of the great FREE prizes I was eligible for. When my questions/requests became too much for her to handle, she passed me off to the closer, her supervisor. After that a lady called to confirm my appointment. I told her that there had been some mistake and I couldn't make it. A few minutes later the first lady called me back. It went on like this for days. I kept giving the contradictory stories- I couldn't make it one day because I had to work; I couldn't make it the next day because I was out of work and had a job interview. Then I said my girlfriend was also interested (as a way to drag this thing out even further). Finally they stopped calling until a few days ago.

This time I just flatly asked for cash up front- $1000. She seemed confused. Each time she started to tell me about the free gifts, I just said "No thanks, I'll just take the cash". After 15 minutes of messing with her, I told her that I needed the cash because I was on house arrest and couldn't leave the house for about four months. Unfortunately this ended the call faster than I thought it would. Next time I'll pick a less extreme lie.

Have fun with these people. Be creative. I try to keep them on the phone as long as possible( I surf the web while BSing them and even talk to them about what I am reading). The calls aren't going to end until we force Congress to do something about it.

If I give my phone number to a hotel I stay at, it doesn't mean I want to be solicited for vacation packages, time shares, or other offers.  I think it's glib for hotels to assume they can use my contact info to solicit me for other things. Also, if you try a number a few times and no one answers, then stop calling.  It's really annoying to keep seeing my work number called when I've gone home for the day.  I most likely will never be at that number at the time Wyndham or anyone else may call.  I also don't think we look "foolish" by complaining - we should complain if someone calls us constantly unsolicited. Knowing that Wyndham is subcribing to these practises makes me less likely to stay at their hotels and I certainly will never buy a resort package from them now.

Calls 2 -3 times a day while I am sleeping (work nights)  never leaves a message.  Because they wake me up the first time when I forget to turn the ringer off, I will answer one of these days and say "hold on a minute"  put the phone down and walk away until they hang up.  Maybe they will get the hint after a couple of times?

Wyndham Vacations calls multiple times on home phone number.  They received my name when they were previously known as Fairfield Resorts.  Attended one of their sales presentations and was the recipient of some extremely aggressive strong arm sales tactics.  They were actually pissed at me for not buying one of their time shares. Very poor sales/customer service tactics!!
