I just had the same number call with the caller ID stating Canada on my land line at the beginning of the month and they asked for my daughter who no longer lives with me. When I stated that she was not here and asked who he was (also with an middle eastern accent) he got very rude with me and asked, "What do you think I'm a terrorist?!?" I live in MN is this happening all over?

I got the same thing. My caller id said Quebec on it, date 8-3-13 at 12:17pm.
I documented it, didn't bother to listen to message.
After I googled the number and read all the posts I figured it was one of these scams.

Just got that call about problems with my computer. Scam

This Indian guy left a message on my machine saying, "Robert, you b*****d I know you are there, pick up you coward and pay me the money you owe me!".   The scary thing is he had my first name right!

A row of calls from a guy, Indian accent, call center noise on the background ph. 1 418 001 0070 At first he offered help with my issue with computer viruses, asking to use Windows Explorer to help to clean my PC. I told him that I do not his help and hang up. He turned nasty, kept calling me  leaving messages like "Do you have balls to pick up the phone?"

I got this call that said "Name not found" on my caller ID the other day. Some clown sounded to be from India told me he was from PC Resource's and that my computer was infected. I told him that he was full of s***, that this a a scam and don't ever call me again, I then hung up. Beware! Any call like this is a scam. They want access to your computer. I work on computes and I know better. If they call you tell them it is a scam and hang up. Don't waste your time talking to these jerks.

Got called from "Name Unavailable"  418-001-0070 said his name was Justin
Smith ID #1484 from B C Wizards, representing trouble shooting for Microsoft computers, that they were global based technical dept.
I asked why "name unavailable" and he gave me an 800-878-2302 and that
I should go to my computer so that he could show me the problems coming from emails and other phishing sites.  I said "why should you call me, I don't know you".  I told him I was shutting off my computer as I had an appt. but wanted more info from him in case I decided to call him.  He gave me an address of this BC Wizards 9350 San Cameron Rd, either California but then said Las Vegas.
I told him to clarify that again and he hung up.

Lady from India - my computer is having error and virus issues - I hung up on her.  This is like the 5th call I've received from someone stating the same thing.  First time I almost fell for it b/c I had report issues to Microsoft, then thank God came to my senses!  Scammers I'm sure.

just got this same phone call and a woman was on the line; wanted me to get onto my computer because she said my Microsoft Essentials was doing something she needed to help me with.   She then mentioned my online banking account and that is when I told her I could not get online at this time.  She said she would call back at a later time.   The call was from Canada Call is what the caller ID said.

I didn't answer the first 2 times and the 3rd time no one was there!

Calls and calls and calls...frustrating because when I DO pick up there is no one there...Sometimes I get a message with absolutely no message, but a long, dead silence.

Caller seemed annoyed that he go my answering machine, then mispronounceed my name (which is neither unusual or difficult to pronounce.

Reading the other comments, I'm disappointed I didn't get to talk to the guy - I'd love to waste his time running through his script on an isolated machine that doesn't save any changes.

got robocall from 418-001-0070 caller ID said "Quebec" on Friday 08-020-13 @ 622 PM.

Answered the phone and it was a "David from PCWizards" Good 'ol David had a Pakistani or Indian accent calling supposedly from French Canadian Quebec. Gave me a 'song & dance about "problems with my computer that they were detecting which could cause my computer to crash". He asked me to 'go to my computer'. I told him "OK hang on." I was at my computer already but wanted to get up my SCAMMER  'Youtube Swearing Rant' on my computer. He asked me to go to the 'bottom left icon on my computer'. Played with him a little and told him "I have a lot of icons on the left side of the toolbar". He then told me to click on the 'Start button' I said OK but didn't. He then started to ask me to check for another folder so I started my SCAMMER 'Youtube Swearing Rant' full blast. After about a minute and a half listened on the line and he was still there. So I asked him "Have you ever heard so much swearing in your life". He started to say something but I started the Swearing Rant back up for another over minute. Went again to check and he was STILL there. So said "I think this is a terrible VIRUS on my computer". He again started to say something and I immediately turned back on the swearing Rant again. Checked a third time after another minute or more and the persistent guy with the foreign accent was still there. Asked him "Are you STILL there?" and I went right back playing  the Rant again. Finally he hung up after over 8 minutes.

Good 'ol David was probably miffed that HE got SCAMMED.

Didn't know if I should answer or not. Finally picked up and said hello. No one answered back. Said hello again and again. Finally
heard a click on the other end. Instantly googled the number to finds these other complaints! What is going on?

Unable to communicate. Scam scam scam!
Bad enough that USA has idiots but, now Canada and Mexico using Indians?

The answering machine picked up, a long pause then someone said hello and then disconnected.

Received call from CANADACALL 418-001-0070.  Caller with a heavy accent asked for another family member and when I said he wasn't there, asked if I was using a computer from my address.  When I said yes, he said my computer was generating reports that could cause my system to crash. Wanted me to go to the run box and input eventvwr.  When I refused to hit enter, and asked for more info he said he was Shawn Davis, employee # 3388 from PCWizards who was calling to provide technical support to Windows.  When I asked for a number to call back to confirm who he was he gave me 1-800-878-2302.  I did a quick google search and found all kinds of websites with warnings about that number.  When I refused to proceed, he became agitated and said that if I called back they would not be able to help with my problem.  I told him I had not called him in the first place and he hung up.

Just got the call today, didn't answer....Thank goodness !!!

Indian man...scamming to get you in front of your computer......hung up when I confronted him

I just now recieved this phone call from my cell phone. It came up as Quebec Canada. I dont answer if I dont know who it is. There was a 4 second voicemail that you couldnt hear anything.

I got same phone call, saying there was a problem, when I asked him if it was a scam, he hung up...

Indian man says he's from a computer company I told him I'm not interested don't call me again and i tried
To call back and it said there was too few digits couldn't go through

Indian man,said he was from a computer company and there was a problem with my computer. I told him I didn't have a computer. I hungup on him.:-)

Said he was from some computer something and said there was a problem ith windows operating systems.  Wanted me to get on my computer and press the following keys.  Ctrl, windows, and the letter I  told him I would not do it.  That I don't do things to my computer that some stranger tells me to do.  Especially when they call me, I did not call them.

Insisted I was Mrs.  Marie Anderson and argued with me on the phone over who I was. Then tried to get information from me.
