Prank Call
I got the same email. I don't know why these people would ever think someone would believe that anyone would ever be warned that they are about to be arrested and prosecuted. The only thing that bothers me is these ***holes have our social security numbers and we work too hard for our money to have some worthless, lazy punk take it somehow. I am purchasing Life-lock identity protection now. Here is a link that I found http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0LEVwiZ9 ... 4&fr2=rs-bottom.
I am going to forward this email to the suggested email, spam@uce.gov. I hope this helps everyone.
I am listing this as a prank call but yahoo should have a link for bogus call.
Sorry I re-posted, I was so appalled by my grammar and word usage I typed this again because there is no edit option. Yes Karma will get them. :)

Email is not a valid means of "serving" a court summons to anyone.  Debt is civil, not criminal, so there are *no* charges or arrest if you default on a loan.  If these yahoos have your SSN and other personal information, you may want to look at getting identity theft protection.  Also contact your banks and at least one of the three credit bureaus - Experian, Equifax, TransUnion - and have them place fraud alerts on all your accounts.  You can also contact the FBI at their Internet Crime Complaint Center - www.ic3.gov - about these emails.

I got the same email that stated that I was going to be prosecuted in court in a couple days.  Senior Atty Steve Matthews
had my ssn number, address, cell phone number, and said that I was in violation of some bank law and will be taken to the supreme court in violation of such laws.

I too, received the same letter. How do these people have my SSN? That is very troubling! I hate how these people can try, and do scam us. I wish the government could find a way to stop this. This is the 2nd letter I have received with the same situation, mwithin the past 6 months. Im so tired of this. They didn't get me, but think of how many nieve, and trustworthy people that do believe this. These people make tons of money, while they sit on there butt. Karma is a B#&@$...

Recieved an email from a "Senior Attorney Steve Matthews" with "Murphy & Price Law Association" . It states my name, address, home phone # & SSN . States they have been trying to contact me about a legal matter & have had to resort to email; states I will be charged in a federal case of fraud for not repaying a payday loan from a website operated by American Cash Advance.  The letter has an official-looking heading "us.supremecourt.restitutions@gmail.com"; is poorly written for a Senior Attorney & includes the warnings of my SSN being put on hold by the US Government & that their clients that are my creditors "have got all the rights and legal authorities to inform your current employer about what you have done in the past and what shall be the results and the consequences once this case would be downloaded which might lead to termination."  He gives a Case Number #2900 & states "since it's a legal matter you will be needed my help"; wants me to call 418-988-7082.  Google Search shows this is a Canadian cell phone, there is a Murphy & Price law firm in Maryland but no Steve Matthews found on the listing of attorneys licensed to practice in MD.  Has anyone else got anything like this?
