Just got a call from this number, well it's not a legit number. Recorded messages says that they are looking for me, and it is some collection company. I have gotten a call from these people before, only the last number to show up on my caller ID, were all zero's. These people are obviously scammers, becausea legit debt collector would use real phone numbers

Calls at least 3 or 4 days a week 2 or 3 times a day... I dont answer

I have received a couple of calls from this 419 number. A pre-recorded voice says that this message is for...and then another voice cuts in with the name "Tina Louise Heggarty". First voice then says if I am not...second voice repeats name, I should hang up immediately, which I did first time. This evening I listened on a bit and the first voice says that if I continue to listen I am confirming that I am...(second voice) the girl's name, so I hung up again. Thing is, I've had a few calls in recent months from genuine companies or agencies looking for her, so I guess she must have had my phone number before me. In view of the above comments though, it looks like another telemarketing job, or another agency, or a scam. I hang up thinking that will alert the caller that I am not her and they won't ring again, and I don't want to listen to the end to speak to someone as by that point I have effectively confirmed I am her. Dilemna, much?

Girlfriend got a call but they were looking for me. Just "419" appeared on the caller ID and was posing as a debt collector.

I had several calls from these people and finally decided to pick the call and verify who they were.The lady on the other side asked for a lady who bears my last name and said the call concerns a national survey regarding the coming presidential election. She hung up when i said it was the wrong number.

Who is calling me from this number - they just hang up!

They have several times in the last couple of days. Others say it is a debt collector, I don't know they never leave a message and if I try to call back it says "the number is out of service". I have no outstanding debts so I don't know what the problem is. but they need to stop.

Over and over they call  debt collection can't speak English and it annoys me

I get a call, sometimes two every other day from 419, that's it, no other number. The most annoying womans voice ever tells me if I continue to listen to the message I am confirming I am a "David Becker" and that the three second pause will allow me to listen to the message in private. After the three clicks they then hang up and the message is over. I have no idea who this is but I can tell you I am tired of it. I am considering changing my phone number AGAIN to make it stop. Someone shouldn't have to be harassed like this and have no ability to inform those responsible to stop. Annoying? to say the least...

They called three times a day

I have gotten 2 calls form 419 and they hang up before I can answer the phone.  There is no message.  I am presuming these are scammers but how does my phone recognize 419 and is sprint able to interfere with this calling since the call does not ring through until I pick it up.  I wouldn't pick it up anyway.

all that is displayed is the number 419 the date and time. They don't leave a message I am also receiving calls from 419-628-7060 not sure if related to the 419 calls.

I asked what its about?
They said  its about a very important business matter.
It is really scare!!!

They asked for my ex room mate when I said i'm not him they hung up.

Google searches for 419 suggest that this is an iteration of the Nigerian banking scam. They may also leave a message, but all calls from "419" can be safely ignored or blocked.

I'm getting 419 too.  Weird, they call all the time and no message. Anyone?

I have gotten 2 calls from 419 and they have left a message both times asking for someone I don't know and telling this person to call them back at a 1-800 number.  Each message was for a different reason.

419 is slang for the Nigerian scammers (I think it is the legal code number there), so I'm guessing it is somehow related to that.

Number shows up only as 419. Call all the time, never leaves message.
