left voicemail that was cut off about AT&T caring about me and $500 credit - called back and it was about winning a free cruise and credit, pressed 2 twice to decline offer

Same here.  had it several times.  it is mediacom a cable company for internet tv and phone

I've been getting calls from this number for the last several weeks. I answer and nobody is there. I called the number back and it apparently is a Mediacom number. The woman I ended up speaking with got very testy telling me it wasn't Mediacom calling. All I did was dial the number back. She tried to sell me extra service after I complained and then she ended up hanging up on me when I told her my service didn't work half the time as it was.Great customer service. I believe it's time to change service but only after I make sure the people higher up at Mediacom get a ear full.

Very annoying.

Constantly rings at all times of the day.  No one answers

If you do business with a company, the do not call list does not apply.  Therefore if you are a mediacom customer, you need to request to be removed from their internal calling list

Got another one today, 2-10-11. This is the 7th one in 5 days. I called Mediacom last week and requested they take my cell number off of their contact list, and customer service assured me it was done, but when I kept receiving these, I consider it harrassing. Customer service said they don't see any reason this number would be calling unless it is to cross-sell, but like the other post, there is never anyone there when I try to answer and they don't leave a message.

I get these odd calls also but caller ID sure helps.

I've been receiving calls from this number for about two weeks.  They never leave a message, and I finally actually answered the call today, a girl said hello.  And I said ..Hello?  And she said Hi, then hung up.  I've added an app to my phone to weed out calls like this, but I'd love to do anything I can to put a stop to calls like this being made, or at least to have a basic understanding of what's going on here.  Has anyone actually gotten a sales pitch out of this line?  Or is it more of a harassment type of thing, like it seems to be for me?

been recieveing many calls from this number and when i spoke to mediacom customer service nobody, including supervisors could tell me why i was recieving these calls and were basically useless.. i called the corporate office which i had to find on my own... so much for customer service... the corporate number i found is: 1-888-692-9090 ... i called and spoke to chantel her number is 1-888-356-5039 @ ext 8416 ....

After receiving several dead air calls I called the number back and found out the company is MediaCom and it is their marketing department.  I  asked to be removed from their call list and the rep said it would happen.  We'll see.  I don't think companies care if you're on a "Do Not Call" list because they don't think you'll spend the time to do anything about it.  FCC complaints -  http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm

I have received 3 calls from this number today alone, and have received other calls from it in the past as well. It is getting VERY obnoxious, especially today; they're calling me every hour. I DO NOT want these calls.

I HAVE AN UNLISTED PHONE NUMBER AND I AM ALSO ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST.  I DO NOT WANT ANY OF THESE CALLS.

re: 800-239-8411 ... They were sending out automated messages about a voicemail upgrade using this number. It's legit.

Says it's Mediacon which apperas to be a cable company of some sort

Got a call from this number on my cell, but no message. When I called it back all I get is a busy signal. Anyone know who it is?
