If you don't owe anyone any money, then it's possible they're skip-tracing, trying to locate someone else with a similar name or same last name as you.  File a complaint with your state Office of Attorney General, Consumer Protection.

No one can block phone numbers.  This site is just to report unwanted calls and provide info on the caller, if you know it.

They just called me and asked about my debt.

This number called me and did not leave a message. I called the number back but couldn't understand the name of the collection agency.  The caller spoke very fast.  That said, I believe this is a legit collection agency because although I have had my phone number a little over two years, I regularly receive collection calls from different agencies look for someone named Vanessa.

Now I know they are from Ohio and the skulls are a little thick, after being told NUMEROUS times the person they are looking for does NOT live here and they have the wrong number, they keep calling. Now either they cant understand English, have thick skulls, just plain stupid, inbred, or just cant use the computer in front of them to correct the problem. Im going with all! Next action is legal on my part!

They called me this morning and asked yo verify my address. I hung up on the and blocked them! If they want to reach me they can do it in writing!

UCB call all day long and never leave a message finaily I answered one day and the UCB company wanted to speak to another person in the household. I told them they were not here and said they could speak to me. When I asked what UCB was the girl on the other line would not tell me until the info for the other person was verified. I asked for her name and she would not give it to me until the info was verified. I said I am not verifying info, if you have it you can tell me what it is. First they gave me the address of the perosn they were calling for, I said nope never lived there. Then they asked about the SS and I said no way that I am going to tell you yes or no until you tell me why you are calling. She got mad and started to yell at me. I hung up the phone....

UBC 419-794-9091 calls my house every day and will not stop. I am not late on any of my bills. Why do they keep calling me?! I guess the laws mean nothing anymore in this country!! I am on the state and federal do not call lists and it means nothing!!

This is a repeat hang up if no answer call from a collection agency.  From my research, they may be phony.  In California, they are supposed to leave a message as to who they represent, the amount owed, 30 days to dispute all or part of it, and a reply from the client, before they can continue to make repeat phone calls.

Cut to the chase: You folks need to understand the cold hard facts. Phone companies like Tracfone, et .al. earn a lot of revenue from unwanted callers. Every time a Tracfone (cell phone) customer (for example) accepts a call or listens to VM from these scam systems, units (minutes) are deducted (lost) from their account. Consequently, the account holder is compelled to buy more time (minutes) to maintain their cell phone account.

On the aggregate, the phone companies reap a tremendous windfall from these automated calling systems. Based on intuition (operative word) I truly believe that they (the phone companies) are responsible for the daily barrage of countless unwanted phone calls (so called collection agencies, etc) that I receive.

Facts: 1)Phone companies refuse to investigate. 2) Phone companies refuse to block unwanted phone numbers.

Upshot: It is an ongoing corporate crime? uninvestigated and unpunished. Welcome to America.

I have the same problem, morning noon, and nicht if I answer they hang up.
At one time they did ask for my husand. He was not in.
They just called at 7:45 AM.

This caller calls me at all hours of the morning, afternoon and evening.  I have told them to quit but the continue to bother me all the time.

I refuse to give them any information and they still keep calling

This number called here at 814a.  I called them back, and they asked for me, asked me to verifiy my mailing address and then asked for the last digits of my SSN.  I don't know them and they have not identified who they are, so I refused to give them anymore info. I told them I have no idea who they are and they asked again for my SSN.  I refused again.  They closed the call.

i am and have always been on the no call list,  i stand strong do not call me!!!

Called Sunday afternoon. Caller ID United Collection. Person calling name was Victor. He was asking to speak to someone not at this address. I told him so and said good-bye and hung up the phone. I looked up the number on the internet and found the above information.( 100% Spam Score ) I called them back and told them of their spam score and told them not for any reason to ever call here again. I am on the DO NOT CALL List.
