THEY CALL AND HANG UP, who are you

Does everyone realize that FBI and FCC have nothing to do with this? You need to file your reports with Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

These idiots called, I called back, pressed 1 to remove #. They called the next day, I answered, guy started to say something. I blasted him with a profane laced tirade, explaining I was reporting him to FTC, he started laughing. I asked him if it was funny, he said yes.

Received multiple calls from 423-468-5431. Assume Scam since they leave no message.

I've figured a little bit out about this operation, they're using service provided by Covista of Tennessee, but their equipment could be anywhere as Covista may just be providing them VOIP service and trunks.  I found a company called Revocalize online today that lists "lead generation" for security systems, and called them, and pressed option 2 for customer service.

The guy who answered said that indeed they are conducting calls as "Home Security Group" and that they only contact opted-in customers.  (I of course said there was no way I was opted in, but that didn't seem to matter.)

I've been getting calls from several different numbers in different areas of the country trying to "give me a free home security system". Its a recording, and I can't seem to get anyone on the phone. I've called back and on one line it says that all circuits are busy, on the other it gives the option of adding yourself to their "do not call list" which I've done almost every day for two weeks with no success. This morning I tried staying on the line to see if it got me anywhere, all it did was attempt to get me to give my name and address. Of course I didn't, this is obviously a scam to get personal information. Not sure how to go about reporting this stuff...

Rude S.O.B. would not let me talk, kept interupting me so I hung up on him.

Will making a fax machine sound work in order for the robocaller to take you off the list? Does anybody know.

Lots of call from 423-468-5431 and several other numbers for Home Security Group.  Some of the rudest telemarketers I've ever encountered.  Cell phone and listed on DNC doesn't matter to them in the least.

As it has been said here multiple time (thanks, by the way), this number is calling from the Chatanooga, TN area. If you call the number (423-468-5431) back there is a recorded message that says you may press "1" to be placed on the do-not-call list. Simple and pain-free. Allow 72 hours for the changes to take effect.

Yes, they are from this Home Security Group and they call 5 times a day. I politely told them no andto remove me and they keep up............b*****ds

Filed a Do Not Call List Violation.  They do not leave a message and I don't answer numbers I do not recognize.  It's my work cell phone.

This number keeps calling and I would like it blocked.

this number has called me 3 times. I have entered my number 2 times a weeek aprt to have them stop calling me. They are calling my cell phone!

i get about 20-25 calls a week from this number.

My number is on the do not call list, yet I persist in getting calls from this number. My understanding from looking on the internet is that this is some sort of "home security" call, maybe relating to mortgages?

Same thing - since I do NOT answer numbers I do not know - I just ignore them - then I look the number up here...love this site - but yes that number has rung mine cell # twice today and within a matter of minutes...I am already on the DO NOT CALL list...and have been since 2001 - and I have re-registered myself and my daughters cell # several times since that time (like probably 3 or 4) so it doesn't appear to work...imagine that...something the government has set up to help protect us in some form or fashion NOT working...oh crap... anyway love this site & thanks for the information...

This number calls everyday, sometimes the number changes to 970-758-4808 or 206-557-8989.  the number 423-468-5431has called twice now.  His name was Ben from Home Security group, I told them this is a cell stop calling it's illegal!

I just don't answer any Number that I don't know, the one problem I have with it is if I am
busy and stop to see who it is & it is a loser. Where is our privacy? I am also on the do not
call list. I am willing to volunteer to monitor these calls to report them if someone is willing to

The company initiating the call uses a robocaller, which uses a pre-recorded voice format that asks questions and responds to pre-programmed voice prompts.

Callers who violate the DNC Registry may be subject to federal prosecution and/or fines totalling $25,000.00 per event.  Complaints to the FCC made be submitted online at:

Please note that the U.S. Government's FCC Complaint Form 1088B does take a few minutes to complete, but it is well worth it to know that you are forcing the unwanted caller to pay the $25,000.00 fine for repeatedly bothering you!  In addition, the FCC will mail a hard copy of your submitted complaint to you for your records via USPS within 2-3 weeks of filing your complaint.

Called me too, but hung up the instant I answered.  I've given my cell number to a few random people from Craigslist, after years of never giving it to strangers.  It's not posted on Craigslist though.  Maybe this is what I get for giving it out so easily.
