They have a new number now 423-757-6586. I get at least 3 calls a week and they just hang up

This has happened to me the past 3 days

told them to stop calling didn't want what they were offering  from Chattanooga Times Free Press

I just got yet another call from this number.  I reported them to the donotcall.gov website and also called the president of the Chattanooga Times Free Press.  I stated in my message to him that from now on, everytime I get a call from his telemarketing department, he will be getting a nasty call from me.  If his telemarketing department wants to constantly harass me after telling them repeatedly to take me off their lists, I will turn right around and call Mr. Jason Taylor at 423-757-6370 and harass him right back.

what does  Phish for active number mean? because I get calls from them all the time and usually i ignore them.

I am reporting them to the Feds. I specifically informed them to stop calling, but obviously they are not paying attention.

I have informed this company, The Chattanooga Time Free Press, I am not interested in continuing my service. They continue to call, anyways.

ring - and nothing!  Irritating that so many people have experienced this and it's so hard to get stopped. Someone has to be behind this number. Why can't they be contacted by law enforcement  without such an ordeal?

just because you get a new phone doesnt mean you get a "fresh" number. 50 other people could've had your cell phone # at one point in time

I keep getting a call from this number and they say "you have a caller on the line'...then I hang up! I am tired of these calls too!

They call my number constantly, more 5 times a day. I have already told them I did not want a subscription. I also pay extra money so that my number is unlisted, to prevent calls like this. So it is extremely frustrating, and definitely persuades me NOT to pay for a subscription!

that keeps calling, they will call anywhere between two to six times a month and they call almost every month that's using anywhere from ten to twenty minutes of my phone minutes and my phone only has 250 minutes, I'm disable, on a fix income, theyre using my minutes.
I need those minutes to call my doctor,check on prescripitions or someone to come help me or take me somewhere I need to go.
JUST WISH THEY WOULD QUIT CALLING ME!
I don't want to subscribe to the newspaper.
I have a Telvision that I can find out what's going on around my area and accross the nation.

Here's the 5 step plan that I used to eliminate this problem:

1. It IS the Chattanooga Times Free Press (Not the FBI as some dumb a** mentioned earlier)
2. I went to their website and clicked on "Contact Us"
3. I clicked on "President  Jason Taylor"  jtaylor@timesfreepress.com
4. I sent the following email to Mr. Taylor with "Harassing Calls" in the subject line


Mr. Taylor,

I have been receiving multiple daily telephone calls from 423-757-6997. I have Google'd this number and see that it is The Times Free Press. I understand that economic times are tough and it's probably a telemarketing autodialer, since no message is being left, and it rings only three or four times. But I also need you to understand that the number being called is my cell phone (423-xxx-xxxx) and I am not on an unlimited calling plan either. Please have my information deleted from your records.

I thank you in advance for your help in resolving this matter.

5. Within an hour, I got this reply:

Mr. H****,

I apologize for the phone calls you have been receiving from our department. I have deleted your number from our records. If you have any further problems regarding this issue, you may contact me directly at (423) 757-xxxx. Again, I am very sorry for any inconvenience we have caused you.

I did not threaten, cuss, or launch any consumer complaints with the BBB. Sometimes taking the kind approach will reap results.
I checked my last two months worth of cell bills and found "37" calls from this number. And since the email was sent this morning... I have received '0" today.

son got a call on his ipod.  would not be so funny but we are way up in Bristol.  But, I am not mad, I know everyone is hurting right now.

I was receiving numerous calls on my cell phone from them.....I finally told them  I received the weekend edition of their paper but if I received one more call on this # I was cancellling....I haven't received anymore. Honestly I don't know why I don't cancel the rag anyway.

I'm in Afghanistan and got the call and yes mine is a Skype number.

I just got a call this morning--I activitated this new phone number 2 days ago and it was the first and only call I've received on my new phone.

This number has called my phone several times in one day as well as called for repeatedly for several days

Missed the call, called them back (Chattanooga Times Free Press), left message for them to stop calling. We ALREADY SUBSCRIBE to the newspaper, and pay via direct debit from our checking account. How stupid can they be??!? Sat. 9/17/11

They just tried to call me.  I didn't answer.  They have done same thing to me before

I did a reverse AVN lookup on the government proxy server after reversing the TNR line and this number is listed in the batabase as an active FBI "spoof" number which they use to track people down. Once you answer your phone...a reverse trace is initiated and all your calls are directed through the mainframe switchboard through the TEU Department. Either YOU or someone YOU KNOW has the attention of the FBI.

My husband and I both get calls from them AT LEAST 12 times a day. I'm sorry but to me that seems like harassing people, especially when no one is ever on the other end of the line!!!
