Same; child wanting phones for battered women organization. transferred to person who repeated same.  I asked for locale, since only one in US is in MD.   She could not give me info; said use website which is temporarily down.
SO, they are now soliciting for their 'burner' phones they can use to perpetrate their scams...using a child's voice.

These people call and PIMP a kid to leave a message about donating cell phones.  Disgusting that they use a child for

their financial gain.  Do NOT give a dime to these people.  If you're concerned about battered women, as we all should be, please donate to your LOCAL shelter rather than a telemarketing firm.  


Shameless and despicable.  They say "Mommies and kids"... and there ARE actual "mommies and kids" who need our support, please don't forget that...but a telemarking firm getting rich off others' suffering and legitimate need?  Sad.  Donate locally...volunteer to read to a kid or drive a battered woman to an interview so she can start over and provide for her family. Provide some advice about entering the workplace and how to succeed...and work place clothing is always needed...and some mentorship...but do NOT give to these charlatans.  


My heart goes out to all women and families in need... and let's help them...filling the coffers of a phone center is NOT the way to do so.

Give with your heart....but also with your head.  Think about how you can best support your community.  This "charity" isn't it.

Keep getting calls from this number. A child comes on to say she calling about battered woman like all the other review I read.   Calls several times a day and evening.  How to stop this person from calling.

I think the 424 288 0657 Clyde Davis call I just got is also tied in somehow with a Publishers Telecom, LLC out of Arizona.
They called me and I subscribed to a magazine subscription in Jan that has yet to come 5 months latter.
I filed a repost with the BBB who as of yet has not heard back from anyone.
I suggest others do the same and follow thru with BBB.

Just had a call at 9:13 PM from 424-288-0657. Caller ID said "Cell Phone  CA"

Recorded message from a child asking for cell phones to support a battered women's shelter. This has scam written all over it. Run away ... hung up before spiel could be completed. A new low in unsolicited calls ...

Clyde Davis "camped" on phone and it rang immediately after I hung up on a personal call.  Did not answer. 1-424-288-0657  Land line with caller ID

Called last night (April 10th) at 9:35. Caller ID said Clyde Davis. Did not answer

Got the "Clyde Davis" call just now.   424-288-0657

My call from this number was a recorded message from a child -- who said she was calling for an aunt who supports a battered women's shelter.  I hung up before the message was complete, since the caller ID was for Clyde Davis.  I think, since I've read the information about him on this site, that I'll also report him to the national do not call center.

I also received a call from the number 424-288-0657 yesterday, Monday April 8th around 3:30PM EST time . The unidentified caller said to me after I answered the phone; "WE HAVE A PROBLEM"... I responded back by asking him for his name and for a supervisor. He said I'm calling from the subscription service for Men's Health Magazine and you owe us money for a subscription card that you mailed in for a 3 year subscription. I told this unidentified caller that I canceled my subscription over a year ago and never submitted a renewal form. I asked for him to send me a copy of the renewal card to validate the handwriting. At this point he also kept denying me to transfer me to his supervisor  or manager. The unidentified caller kept trying to over talk me regarding my requests for a supervisor or manager....after 5 minutes of him talking and him getting mad, he said he was going to end this call because MY tone with him was out of line (HA HA HA...I didn't raise my voice, just kept asking him for his name and supervisor's name). After he hung up, I found and contacted the Men's Health Magazine and their parent company's to file a formal complaint. I also went online to the FCC's site to also file a compliant with them... PLS everyone, file a complaint with the FCC to stop this harassment and practice.

This number called my elderly father, and told him I use a sports cream (gross) and I need to renew using his credit card. This is hilarious on so many levels, but also really disturbing. Scamming the elderly, what a wonderful person. I hope this person dies a horrible and painful death.

This guy is a real piece of work.  Even wants to meet and whip my a**.  Said I owed 35 years worth of subscription payments to Playboy...once again, it said Clyde Davis.

Caller ID showed "Clyde Davis". Individual said asked if we were receiving our Better Homes and Gardens. I said that we did not do any magazine business over the phone due to prior fraud. He tried to tell me that his company was not well known but handled most subscriptions for magazine companies. I do not believe him.

Person claiming to be from Time Magazine claimed that I owed them for a 2 for 1 subscription.  The fellow gave his name as Jason and has called 10 o 15 times in an attempt to get financial information from me.
