Got a txt message:

"Congratulations! Go to apple.ie  totalfreegiveaway.com to claim your prize."

I got a text a few minutes ago from 15043447780saying I was chosen to receive a free gift and to go to http//www.apple.ie.wonaprize.info to claim it giving a number to claim. I presume this is a scam I would value your response please

got this text also stating to claim a free prize is there anyone in apple who deals with social media that can answer why people are receiving scam text claiming that there are daily free prizes to be received , surley you want to protect the brand name of Apple and can investigate this

Got a text telling me I won a prize,how did they my number and who are these people.the told me I had 24 hours to claim.Ive tried to get on to this web site and got this page.Is this a  SCAM.People at apple must have little to do if thats who they  are

I received a test message from this number telling me that I was Ireland's WINNER OF THE DAY!  I was cautious and went searching and came across this site.  I am presuming that it is just a scam and that someone somewhere is enjoying wasting so many people's time, including mine.  I just hope that that is all that is happening and it does not effect my phone's operation or my costs.  Technology is great except when it is abused like it appears to be now.  At least from what I have been reading I am not alone in dealing with this nuisance.
