The "person" you are were talking to was a robot. It follows prompts. Say you are the business owner and let them transfer you to a real person. Curse them out when they do.Or whatever.

"George" called, asked if I was the owner, told him no.  He asked if he could speak to the owner - I told him the owner was gone for the day.  Was in the middle of asking if I could take a message when he hung up on me.  Next time he calls, I will say that I am the owner, and will then hang up on him!

Same case as Local Busines in Florida. I usually don't answer this type of calls, but I did -just in case-, because now many person's cell phone is from another State.  He asked if I was the busines owner I said no, may I take a..  and he hung up!. Who does he think he is!!. If I see this number again in our Caller ID, I will follow your advice "Get a Real Job". If I don't have a horn, I will scream so loud that he will have a heart attack.

Got a call from this number, asking for business owner....hangs up on you if you say no...how rude!  We are on a do not call list, and do not appreciate this type of phone calls!  the number on ID caller is 425-320-5060...guy says he is George Anderson.

This phone number belongs to a public utility named CallerID4U, Inc., which is run by Paul Maduno and Luis Martinez.  They have entered into revenue sharing agreements with telemarketers who make illegal unsolicited telephone calls.  They profit directly from these outbound unsolicited telephone calls.

This appears to be a clear violation of a number of laws, including 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.

Call Type: Telemarketer

I put unknown on call type because they called before we opened today, and there was nothing on my voice mail from them. I would assume from the other notes here that they are some form of telescammer.

I have a couple of ways to deal with these parasites. First, I let the phone ring three full times before I pick up. I pick up and don't say anything for 2-3 seconds. If it is a computer autodialer, 80-90% of the time the computer will hang up thinking it has gotten a voice mail or answering machine. After 2-3 seconds, I say our company name, but don't give out my name. That way they don't automatically have a name if they call back and get someone else. If I still get a person and they insist, I tell them my name is "Richard Smith"(it's not). It is none of their business what my real name is, they are telescammers who are breaking the law. If they persist in calling over and over again, I tell them that my boss is available, and then I use a sports air horn right next to the phone. What are they going to do, sue me? "Your Honor, I was illegally telescamming and they deafened me!" Good luck with THAT argument. The judge might give me a medal. Reporting these "people"(I use that term loosely) to the Do Not Call Registry is futile, they are usually spoofing their phone number anyway. If you have the time, have some fun with them. See how long they will stay on hold or still be on the line if you put the phone down. Take your cordless into the bathroom and have an extended "deposit" at the Porcelain Bank, complete with very loud fake sound effects. Tell them you ARE the boss and listen to their sales pitch, never saying yes to anything, but always saying that you will look at your numbers and see what you can do. Some scammers will record any affirmative answer you give and then splice it into a call and bill you for whatever they are selling, using that as evidence of an order. Waste as much of their time as you can, because that keeps them from scamming other people, and it can be a really fun stress reliever! Anything that we can do to make this less profitable for these ticks on the butt of humanity is a plus. Feel free to pass this on or add to it with your fun ways of taking back your phone lines. If these idiots would get a real job, the world would be a better place for all of us.

Called - no message

Got long distance call for Washington lol.     Rang once left part of a message about cervical cancer and also screening for men - no beginning and no end.    We are on the do not call list!!!!     So don't call!!

called at 3:10 pm local time; didn't show location from where the caller was calling from; I also located in Ontario Canada; and as previous message, they didn't leave a message.

I don't know where they are getting my phone number but I wish they would leave me the heck alone.
