I have had three of these calls just today 2-5-13! I am going through chemo and the last thing I need to do is exert energy I don't have to answer a phone call that I have put on the FCC web site of harassing phone calls. I too am on the do not call list and as you stated that is a joke. I have asked three or four months ago when this company did have the guts to answer, to please remove me from their list as I do not use or have a balance on any credit cards. I swear they have increased their calling since that time to two or three times a day 2 time a week!I really want this company to pay and I am going to call the FCC and report them! Like that will do any good, right?!!?!?!?

I just got a call today and did not answer. But waited seconds and called back and got this message: "Disconnected Number for Pacific Communications Groups." Received several calls a few weeks ago.
Annoyyed 2013-01-30 20:05:46 Unknown
This number called me claiming to lower my interate on my credit cards. So I waited and talk to some lady when I asked what it was for she said to lower my interest on any of my cards master card visa ete. if I had 4000 dollars in debt. When I asked how she got my number what company she worked for she simply hung up. And if you call back it's blocked. Trying to find some sucker to give them all your information or credit card numbers so they can take you for all your worth... If they call ignore!!

This number called and I didn't answer it because I didn't know the number when I called back it said the number had been disconnected? Huh? Within 30 wow ok

My son is getting calls on his cell. Funny, he has NEVER given out the number and it is on the do not call list, but even he gets these calls. He is a minor and cannot buy anything without my consent so they are just wasting my minutes.

Just another one of the spoofed numbers used by the "card services" scammers.Google my name to learn how I have eliminated their calls, while also having some fun!
wendy 2013-01-29 22:19:34 Unknown
I got call from that number and nobody answer it, when i went to call them back, it said that number had been discontced.
Rainbow Jackson 2013-01-29 19:40:23 Unknown
Just called. 1st time i have gotten this one. Of course, if I don't know the number, I DONT answer. Had 2 other calls, using different numbers, from the infamous CARD SERVICES earlier today, so I imagine this is just another one of their "ghost lines". I found out the other 2 were CARD SERVICES by googling the numbers, just as I did this one. Have a good day folks & DON'T ANSWER #'s you don't know!!!! Don't become a victim!!!

I had the same experience with these people.

Got a call from this number, asking to lower the interest rate on a credit card I don't have. Pressed 1 to talk to an operator, when she came on, I said, "Yeah, this isn't about lowering interest rates, I don't have a credit card, I would like my number remov---". *Click*
B**** hung up on me. I tried to call the number back, it said "You have reached a number that is no longer in service. Blah blah blah." THEY'RE MASKING THEIR NUMBER IT'S F***ING ILLEGAL!!
I have limited minutes on my cell plan, so every time this bulls*** happens, I pick up the tab. Just tried the Do Not Call registry, but I'm not putting much hope on that.
*sigh*
Sabrina 2013-01-29 15:41:22 Unknown
Got a call from this number. I waited to talk to a person. When I ask who was calling they hung up on me. It's a scam!
Levi 2013-01-26 17:30:09 Unknown
I do not want ANY solicitations on my cell. When no message is left, I assume solicitation. Looking at these comments associated with this number would confirm my assumption. I do not want calls from this number.
Allie 2013-01-24 20:13:23 Telemarketer
Caller ID read "CNAM". A recorded message from "Rachel" of "Cardmember Services". That's when I hung up. I wouldn't have answered at all, but at first glance I thought the area code was 435, which is mine. It was, in fact, 425. I need to pay closer attention before picking up the phone! Does anyone ever actually do business with these people? I would think not!

A***oles. Left messages over and over. When I finally answered one, I told the guy I wanted to be placed on the Do Not Call list. He hung up on me. Tried to call back - busy signal. I want to travel through the phone lines to strangle someone.
Amy 2013-01-24 17:11:26 Telemarketer
CNAM, listened to the 'lower your interest rates' telemarket msg then pressed 1 to speak to a rep. It rang many times and when the guy answered I asked to be removed from the list and he hung up on ME!!
I am on the do not call list. I have the max numbers blocked to my phone but can only hold so many numbers and must erase all and start over.

Yup, same here. I missed the call and since I do business in the Washington area so I called back, got a "number has been disconnected" message. Sounds like it's been spoofed and used by someone else.

A call from 425-390-8130 on my cell. wanted to lower my interest rate. I'm getting more of these calls on my cell, have always gotten a lot on my home line. Somebody's got to event something to supplement the Do Not Call Registry and stop this nonsense. I'm tired of having my life interrupted by these calls.
Carol 2013-01-09 21:19:05 Unknown
I am very tired of these, whoever they are, calling. I do not know who this company is, and I won't answer the call. Get them to stop calling.

The criminals behind this operation do not come to this site and even if they did they would have no intention of removing someone that posts here.
I use this site to pass on information that I have gathered and hopefully it will give some insight into these criminal operations. I'm just a poor ignorant uneducated country boy from backwoods Wisconsin who has received more than 300 calls from these scum sucking criminals.

People should continually file complaints with their Attorney Generals office and also file with:
http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov
If enough people keep complaining then maybe something will get done.
Many of these calls are coming from Costa Rica and India and they are using spoofed (false) numbers, which in itself is illegal. They do cold calling for or sell the leads to numerous companies in this country and they know that what they are doing is illegal. Tomorrow this same number may be selling Cruises, Timeshares or Security Systems but if you follow the money it usually ends up in the hands of an American LLC.
These scum are making money by sending their bogus Caller ID information to your phone company. Telephone numbers are Calling Name (CNAM) provisioned and stored in a special database accessible to other telecom utilities. This means that for any outbound call that transmits a special code corresponding to one of their phone numbers, these criminals collect a fee for transmitting the caller ID information to the Local Exchange Carrier receiving the call. When you see a phone number in your caller ID (along with some name like Card Services), your phone company has to reimburse the caller for downloading that info from the database where it?s stored.
These fees are typically fractions of a cent per call however when these fees are aggregated across tens of millions of outbound calls per week, it amounts to significant money. Huge volumes of unsolicited telemarketing calls can drive significant revenue into the pockets of these scum sucking criminals. In return your phone company charges you a fee (it may be hidden or $5 to $15 on your phone bill). Since they only pay out a small portion of this fee you can see why your phone company allows this to continue.
If someone makes the mistake of answering the phone and falling for their con then it is just icing on the cake for them. These people are the lowest form of filth on this planet.
The criminals behind this operation aren't going to pay attention to you asking to be removed from their list. Their calls cost them nothing and they can make a million of them a day so they have no intention of ever removing someone. When you press a key to talk to them all that is accomplished is to verify that they have a working number.
Unfortunately blowing an air horn or whistle doesn't work either. Their headset have noise dampeners plus they are expecting it. However with that said if it makes you feel better then by all means give it a shot.
Robocalls are illegal unless you have given them prior permission in writing (not worded into some small print contract from a 3rd party) and are absolutely illegal to a cell phone. The Telephone Consumer Protection Act permits individuals who have received certain unlawful telemarketing, such as junk faxes or telemarketing calls, to sue the violator in state courts where they may be awarded up to $1500 for each violation.

You can also try suing them in small claims court. This site has some information on how to proceed. http://www.killthecalls.com
Many of the disposable numbers come from Pacific Telecom Communications Group and they are currently under investigation and in the midst of various lawsuits. (The principles involved have been part of actions by the FCC under other business names).
http://telemarketerspam.wordpress.com
The Oregon Public Utilities Commission has revoked Pacific Telecom's certificate to provide telecom services in Oregon.
The Indiana Attorney General?s Office filed lawsuits against:
Consumer Credit Group and Proactive Planning Solutions of Arizona for violating Indiana?s Do Not Call Law and Auto-Dialer Act known as the robo-call law. Both companies violated the Credit Service Organization Act and Deceptive Consumer Sales Act by not obtaining $25,000 surety bonds with the state and collecting money upfront without performing any services.
Debt Zero of California for collecting money up front, failing to provide services or a refund and operating without a $25,000 surety bond.
Clear One Advantage of Maryland and Credit Arbitrators of Texas for violating the Credit Service Organization Act and the Deceptive Consumer Sales Act by not obtaining the required surety bonds.

FTC is sending refund checks to 4,468 consumers ?who allegedly were defrauded by a telemarketer who used robocalls (prerecorded voice messages) to pitch worthless credit card rate reduction programs for an up-front fee.?

Proof that current laws mean nothing to these scum suckers. Civil action by the FTC against such criminals is totally ineffective. These criminals need to be charged with Federal Felonies and subjected to significant jail time. All of those involved know that they are violating FTC regulations. The FTC levies huge fines, then rescinds them based on inability to pay. The FTC settles for the minimal cash on hand, and enjoins them from future telemarketing. The criminals sign off, then go right back to business as usual. These same people under different companies have been sued in the past and have only paid a minimal fine. Here are just a few:

You know who called. I don't bother telling them to add me to their do not call list any more, I've done it 3 times (first time I just asked, second two I also told them complaints are being filed.)
When I hit 1 and informed them "This call is being reported to the federal trade commission as well as the FCC", the a***ole actually connected me to *another* incoming caller complaining that they need to quit calling them.
Do file complaints -- I think the donotcall.gov one is useless but do it anyway. If you go to fcc.gov/complaints you can also file a complaint with the FCC. The head of the FCC publicly stated since the FTC (runners of the do not call list) are so ineffective and he is sick of phone spam, the FCC *WILL* follow up on complaints. Based on my complaints alone, they will be fined for telemarketing to a cell phone, using a recording, using a robodialer, failing to provide full contact information, abandoned calls (those times when I've hit 1 and it hangs up, that is also illegal), failing to provide full caller ID, possibly providing falsified caller ID, making false statements (they can't lower my interest rate because I don't have a credit card!), failing to stop calling a number on request, and calling a number on the do not call list (maybe, this may be reserved for the FTC instead.) The FCC form is detailed enough they DO get the info to do this!

Calls and leaves no message. ID says CNAM.
