Persistant and badgering.
A Total Scam--they imply they have some connection to legitimate law enforcement. Don't answer them.

Several calls per week from this number. No message left.

These people called me this evening asking for a donation, making sure to mention yesterday's tragedy. When I asked the gentleman to mail me their information and that I'd be happy to contribute but do not give personal information over the phone, he simply ended the call as fast as possible. If they were legit, there would be a system in place to accommodate potential donors like me.

Number on my caller ID. Called back and got WA Fraternal Order of Police.

Same thing...these people call  according to my email phone messages, several times  a day...starting from around 8 A M until 9 PM, at times they repeatedly call several times within minutes of each call.     Never a company name,  always an automated operater who asks you to hold (hysterical as it's my voice mail they get)  once in a while some man will come on..say hello  then hang up!    

What is with these idoits?  I've called the number and always automated operator sayes there's no one to take your calls.    Someone or several someones really need a live!

This phone number is calling to do fund raising for the Washington Fraternal Order of Police Memorial Foundation. I have called the number.  It directs you to a customer service department that can answer questions, help you donate, or anything else related to the FOP. Also, there?s information on www.wafop.com . Plus, you can contact them there with any questions or requests.
The FOP is doing a lot of really great things for Washington police officers and the people that call are trying to help them raise money so they can do even more good.

GOT A CALLED AGAIN TODAY AND DECIDED TO ANSWER THIS TIME AND A MAN KEPT SAYING... HELLO, HELLO, HELLO, HELLO... THAN HUNG UP!!!????  WEIRD!!!!!!!!

"WA FOP Foundation"...can't seem to get it through its thick telemarketing head that we don't donate over the telephone.  They've been told NO politely, many times.  Now we just hang up the phone when we see them on the Caller ID.
Just another police union that has sold its soul to some telemarketer for a tiny percentage of the loot.

I've been getting regular calls from this number.  I've stopped answering them.  No message is ever left.

We have two law-enforcement professionals in the family, both of whom inform us that these guys are scam artists.  If you want to donate to a worthy and legitimate law-enforcement charity, ask a cop.  They know which ones are honest.  As a general rule, phone charities are not.

This number shows up on my Caller ID at least 4 times a week. They leave no message.  I have turned off my phone so have not answered, but see the call on my caller ID.

This guy called from this number and asked to speak with the lady of the house, which is odd because if you are wanting a donation why not just ask for the head of house? When I told him I would contact my local police department to donate he quickly got off the phone

According to the WA Secretary of State, in 2007 they spent $734,116 on 'expenses' and only $142,784 on charitable programs, so they are a borderline 'charity' in my opinion. Some cop at WA FOP FUND HQ must be eating a lot of donuts. It's ironic that law enforcement would even be involved in such a questionable 'charity'.

This "charity" is a nonprofit under 501c8, according to the Washington state secretary of state's office. But it spends just 20 percent of the money it raises on its charity programs.

Called and asked for "the lady of the house."  When I asked the guy on the phone if he knew the name of the lady of the house, he tried to talk his way out of the question by saying that he could call back later.  I again asked him who specifically he was trying to reach.  The guy on the line again tried to talk his way out.  Told them to take us off the list and reported them to the national do not call registry, as I am a registered do-not call number.  How insulting can these guys be! Calling and asking to speak to "the lady of the house."  Maybe they think their pushy tactics work better on women.

I am unemployed and do not want to contribute to the FOP....right now I need the money more. Seriously, stop calling my house.

2nd time, nobody on the line, *69 says Maple Valley

Called on Saturday, November 7, at 11:44 AM. Wasn't home to take/receive the call. This number/name has came up on my phone before; it is a FRAUDULENT organization.

Just received a call.  I've got Comcast.  Did *60 so they will get a busy signal from this point forward.

I get it about once a day, from Maple Valley WA.  Never pick it up but they insist on not leaving a message.  Very Annoying.

I just had the call on my home phone and it says Maple Valley, WA and I answered the phone and there was a delay and I hung up.

I called them back to ask them to stop harassing me and was put on hold for a couple of minutes and got an answering machine.  So I left my number and told them to stop calling.  We'll see if that works.  If they call again, I guess they're breaking some law?  I should call the cops on them... oh wait...uh...

doesn't matter if you answer or not.  9 times out of 10 they hang up on you when you answer...can't tell them to quit calling you if they just hang up...

well if you would answer you could ask them to stop calling...if you never answer they will never stop calling!!!
