CALLED 7 TIMES NO MESSAGE

they call my number and a recording picks up and asks me to hold....how rude

They have been calling me non stop from numerous numbers and leaving no messages and when I do call back I get a recording. I think it is Capitol One but I looked up another number on here that I got from them and the number was based out of Washington and labeled as NCO as well.

Christmas eve, they have called every 15 minutes since 8:15 this morning.
I feel like answering and saying this is Santa Claus, Merry Christmas, then hang up. I bet they call tomorrow also.

I am on the no call list,yet some how they have my # and keep calling.

It is capitol one.  They call me starting at 8:00 in the morning with 10 different phone #'s.
Actually is NCO which is capitol one. These  people are obnoxious.  I never seen a collection agent harass you so hard.  You can talk to them ova and ova and they still will harass you.  I don't answer them anymore.

Unsolicited call received at Benicia, CA October 28, 2010 @ 11:43 AM. I usually delete them as soon as I report them, but I have not received a string of calls from this same source as others report. I have no outstanding debts if this is a collection agency.

This company is such a pain in the a**! They started calling me a couple of months ago and everytime I answered they either hung up right away or hung up shortly after I said, "No this isn't Joy."  Finally, my boyfriend got on the phone and called them back and went off on two different people to get them to knock off their s***.  Just today, I started receiving calls again from them.  I called them back with *67 and I went off.  I told the guy that if I will be reporting them for harassment.  Four different people now I've gone through to get my number taken off their list and they still call.

What kind of people try to make their living by scamming others?  It's gross.

NCO phone scam collections, threatens with phony debts to scare you, scam was on the news

I am Filing a Police report today on this boiler room For Harrasment, They have been calling for two months at all hours about a fraudulent Credit Card that was taken out in my name in the state of Tenessee, of which I had now Knowledge of But have a supect, in which I reported to there fraud Department And the Capital One Credit Card Company who the Card was issued through, Not once but Twice I with each of these fraud Departments did I spend over and Hour each time verifieing and reporting all my info, and being transfered and put on hold multiple times with each call, And was assured each time that I had been removed from there collections phone dialer room, In fact I have Two Capital one Credit CardsI have had for about ten years, which I use exstensivly in my business and Have never been late on a payment and have paid every month the full amount due, they even called me a stellar Cust. I'm From WI. and have never owned a card in a different state, So go Figure why they Have not connected the dots and told there hound dogs to quit pissing off there Customer is beyond insanity!

They asked for someone named Margot, who is not me. They promptly got off the line. We'll see if they call back.

Call 3-4 times a day and hang up.  Looked up number and find that it's Capital One debt collection.  Haven't had a Capital One card in almost 2 years and paid account in full before canceling the card.

Don't understand the meaning of wrong number! I have no credit cards so how can I be in credit card debt???? Enough with the calls or will contact FCC!

These people call 4-6 times a day. They don't leave a message and when I answer there is no one on the line. If this is a collection agency they are wasteing their time and mine. I don't have any outstanding debts.

These idiots called me on my cell multiple times .I am calling Capital One and canceling my two credit cards and telling them its because they have bill collectors calling my cell for a person that I dont even know. If this is the way they guard my info I dont need them . I will use my amex instead. And I am also going to file a complaint with the FCC.

I got the same call from NCO - Capitol One collections. I called Capitol one and have no payments outstanding. DON'T PAY THEM ANYTHING. IT'S FRAUD at its best. Don't bother calling Capitol One to report someone's pretending to be them, they don't care. Just confirm you have no payment outstanding.

They use a different # EVERY week. Geeezzzz....

Tip #1 - Call back with *67 and they can't see your caller ID when you don't know who it is.
Tip #2 - DON'T call back with *67 for 800/888etc #s as *67 makes no difference, they will still see (and know) that you called back.
Tip #3 - They only bother me the 1st time, program every new number under "Do not answer" or something and customize your ring tone to "mute" for those calls. That way your phone is still functional and rings normal for all other callers.

Good luck with the call harrassment. I mean I don't mean not to pay or be behind, but what is a guy to do on unemployment and food stamps? I'm lucky my landlord didn't kick me out yet sort of behind on the rent too, but being harrassed everyday 10-20 times a day drives anyone crazy

This place sucks!!  They must own about 1,000 numbers.  I sent them a C&D letter which they received 11 days ago and they still call.  I am enrolled in a debt consolidation program, so I'm not calling them back.  

I today sent them a copy of that C&D letter with their letter and the list of calls received so far, which includes 3 messages and 11 calls without messages.

If it continues after the next letter gets to them (not certified mail, but it should only take a few days to Pennsylvania), I'm reporting them to the FTC.  I'm hoping that I can collect $1,000 for them (by the way, the debt is about $2100 and $600 of that is accumulated interest in the last few months).

They call atleast 20 times a day and always hang up when i answer. I have had enough!!!!!!!

They have called us forever.  My husband finally answered...and they were looking for someone we have never heard of.  My husband told them, under no uncertain circumstances, should they contact us again.  They haven't called since.

These people call my home looking for my husband's ex-wife.  They have her married name and have been told she no longer lives in this state, but they keep calling.  We have even given them her new phone number and they keep calling.
