I've been getting a rash of these calls, also - a clear violation of the DoNotCall Registry. Complaints to the DNCR requesting followup info on the complaint have gone unanswered.
Here is my solution, and likely the only thing that will work to stop this crap:
1. Register with the National Do Not Call Registry. You have now indicated your preference to not have any telemarketing calls, and any callers violating this are FAIR GAME.
2. When you get a call, play along as an interested customer. String them along as long as possible - time is money. Give any information requested, but remember:they called you - the info you give doesn't have to be correct. I don't know why, but when I receive these calls I can never get anything right - Name, address, CC#, phone # (why do they ask for that - they called me...), even my voice changes...Woohoo, tons of fun! If enough folks "Punked" these companies, they would eventually realize that no information they receive could be trusted and they would fade away.
3. Try to get as much information from them as possible and file a complaint with the DNCR. Their info is likely to be as bogus as what you give them, and I'm not sure the DNCR has any "teeth", but hey, you tried...
I use this method on ALL UNSOLICITED CALLS from callers that I don't know who want something from me, including non-profit companies (many of these seem pretty shady - "Sure, I'll contribute, here's my information..." hee-hee... Also, ask them to mail you more information - costs them money and helps the Post Office.) and surveys (answer the questions randomly with no correlation to what you actually think or do...). I realize that these type of calls are not technically covered by the DNCR - all the more reason to have an alternative to stop them.
We're all in this together and it will take a lot of us to put a stop to the annoyance of these calls - feel free to pass these suggestions along to anyone and everyone.

A security System wants to put a free sign in my yard. I get this call every week even though I press 9 at the end of the message to reseive no more calls.  This is getting very ANNOYING!  HELP!!!

I KEEP GETTING CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER AND UNABLE TO CALL THEM BACK TO TELL THEM TO STOP CALLING.

Received a call on my cell phone; they left a message saying to be removed "press 9." REALLY? How exactly does that work with a message left on my voicemail? I called the number back and it was not in service. GREAT. I'm on the do not call list too, which obviously doesn't matter.

Robo caller with Security System for free - I let it go to voicemail.  Not sure how to make it stop, but message says press a button to be added to do not call list.

I just got a call from this #.  I never pick up unless I know who is calling.  No message left for me to know who it was.

Trying to sell a security system

THIS NUMBER KEEPS CALLING MY CELL AND WHEN I CALL BACK IT DOESN'T GO THROUGH.  PLEASE HAVE THEM QUIT CALLING MY CELL.

this number is called my Job... every time i have answered and press 9 to remive.. Number calls again... i actually seleted 1, spok  to someone and told them this number was a buimess and to remove #... he said quickly... he will and hung up.... this is a scam... and don't give them NO INFORMATION!!!!!!

Just received a call from this number on my cell phone. It was an automated message about a security system. I'm from Louisiana.

Got a call from this number today followed by a text that said "please call"

Got a message from this number last night. They were selling security systems. It may be just a coincidence, but there was a mass murder in our neighborhood yesterday and I think this company is preying on people by using the fear caused by a tragic event to try to sell security systems. Disgusting!

Received a call in a 215 exchange/philadelphia.  Robo-voicemail.

Received a robo-marketing call for installation (of security system I think). The number dialed was a 215 # in Philadelphia PA.

I too get a call from this # and I'm in Pittsburgh, Pa.  Next time I will answer it and request their personal # so I can return the favor.

Caller ID is Service Call. It?s a landline in Seattle WA.  425-658-8919 is a "spoofed" number, which means that whoever called you "tricked" your caller ID to display an incorrect phone number. It was the Obama Campaign seeking money so that Holder could  "rid this country of the evil Repubicans."

Same as all the others. My # is on the no call list which apparently does as much as the congress that enacted it - nothing.

Before I hung up this was the beginning of the message from the robot.?Crime in?. ?

I got about 8 calls yesterday from 425-658-8919 at work, and after a couple of these calls, I listened to the recording  (new free security alarm system if I put small sign in my yard) to see what it was about.  I punched "9" like it says so I won't be receiving these calls anymore, but still continued to get the calls.   Now today, they've started again.  When you call the number you get nothing.  How do I stop these calls?   I don't have time to be answering unwanted calls like these at work!    

PS In fact they called again while I was typing this note - last call was 45 min. ago.

It was Identified by Caller Id as Service Provider! They Cannot Reach My Answering Machine as I Keep it Off Alot Now Unless I'm Expecting a Call! It Eliminates these People Leavin Messages & Knowin if Yu're  Around! But Yu Know about Them with the Caller Id! Less Trouble! Also Since these Telemarketer's had been Occasionally Callin My Cell Phone, I just Leave it Off Unless I am Expectin Sum 1! Makes it almost impossible for these Smart Tails to Figure Out when & if Yu'll Ever Turn that Phone Back On! May Not Stop the Calls Entirely, but it Sur will Cut Back On Them Alot! And if it then Gits Beyond what I Want, then I will Report Them to the Feds! See How They like that!
