call and left no message

Call came from Bellevue, Washington to Kansas at 12:02 CDT on 5-11-12 Call not answered and no message left. Caller ID said "Pacifictel". Other posters indicate that this is a telemarketer for a security service.

So what happened?  Did you hang up on them and then dial 911?  Is the person okay?  Later on, did you ever report "these varmints" to www.donotcall.gov?

They called and didn't say anything when I answered, but wouldn't hang up either.  Pretty creepy.  I'll add them to my phone's address book under SCAM so that I don't bother picking up if they call back.

Robocalls like theses are being made by illegal telemarketers who are spoofing the Caller ID information that we see (which makes it harder for them to be caught).  

Nonetheless, we all need to report each and every one of these scam calls to www.donotcall.gov.  "They" cannot do anything about it unless they know about it.

Recieved a RECORDED call from this number that started: The FBI reported that a home break in occurs every [blah, blah, blah]. She - the recording - went on to claim our local police cannot track every burglary... and "If you will allow us to..." at which point I hung up. Called the number back and got ANOTHER recording claiming they would remove my number from their list - which translates as 'we'll call again but from a different number'.

This is the third junk call from this area code in the last two weeks.

WHAT USE is a national no-call list if it is not enforced?

NC- Been getting calls from this number 1-425-658-8981 for a few days I don't answer and they don't leave a message.  After checking the web it appears this is a scam call.

Had a vm from a person named Teresa (no last name).  Indicated she was with Generational Equity and that they are a M&A firm.  Left no specifics of why she was calling.

I think this is a scam. A recorded message offered to install a free security alarm if we would post a sign in our yard. I reported them to the "Do Not Call" registry.

STOP CALLING!!!!

It doesn't do any good to file a complaint.  They will tell you they don't have time to follow up on all complaints.  Best thing to do it see if your phone company has a "blocking" feature.

I have a do not call number that keeps getting call from this number.

In NC, we get calls from this number and from another nearby in WA.

I've reported both numbers several times, but this number called again last night.

Let's hear it for DNC, Gov't officials, offices and "laws."

If they worked as hard at doing their jobs as they do campaigning or Pretending to be legit, this forum Would Not Exist. What are we up to--Page 15 and three years running on The Same Number?

This number called during a medical emergency for a senior citizen. They tied up a private phone number needed to summon help. DNC must stop these varmints.
