They took my money and locked my computer, and only the computer store could clean and restore it.

We received this call on my husband's cell right after Christmas when I was a little brain dead. Feel like an idiot because we know better. I took the call and the guy said from my error messages my computer was infected and was going to shut down in a month. I caught on really quick but they had my IP address and they pulled the plug before I could. Dell worked very hard restoring my computer and my Gateway because they presented themselves as Dell. When I reported them, I was told that sometime they say they are from Dell, Microsoft or even the FBI. Got the same call on my cell but they asked for a different name. Told them it was a wrong number but I wanted to call everyone I could find about that name. When they didn't get any money from me, they said no one could fix it. Dell said they accepted the challenge and I told the guy it was fixed. Lost some data but learned to be on my toes all the time. Have had other numbers that are listed on the web that do the same thing that try to call. They are on the rejected list.

Everyone else seems to be getting someone at the other end of the line.  I get nothing.  After my third hello I hear an automated 'goodbye'.  And this last time I was still fast asleep!!!  I wonder if this is retaliation for the last time I told them I knew it was a scam and to get a life.

Got same call, I asked for a callback number  and he told me 480-259-3403, but the display was 425-668-9652.  I have gotten a few calls from these guys I just hang up.

These calls are coming from India.  They're spoofing a phone number so something shows up on caller ID.  Some of them just show "Unavailable" for both the caller and number.  One of them told me his name was Mac Johnson.  I told him I didn't think Swedes spoke with an accent that sounded like a terrorist.  Boy, did he go off!  All I could do was laugh at him.  They are trying to gain access to computers for the purpose of identity theft and to get all your passwords, personal information, etc.  Usually when they call me, I try to keep them on the line for as long as possible (they have to pay for the call, and the longer the call, the more it costs).  By the end of the conversation (after pretending to follow their instructions, and pretending to be confused), I tell them I can't do what they ask because I don't have a Windows computer.  My operating system is Linux based.  That usually makes them hang up, or they get confused about what Linux is.  But then they usually call back within a couple of hours, and we start all over again.  It's their dime, so I'll play along until my Call Blocker arrives later today.  I'm listing this as a Prank Call, because they can't seriously think anyone is going to believe they are really who they claim to be.

Just got a call from a female, 'help support desk' LOL.  She says, we've been alerted you're having a problem with your computer'.  Told her 'gee, if I'm having problems, send the team over RIGHT NOW.'  She says, 'no please turn on your computer', I say, 'NO, SEND OVER THE TEAM NOW'.  She replies, 'shut up you make me bored.'  

I've just added this number to my call display, next time they call back i'll have some more fun with them.  

hi, its 8 am, just got a call from this number did not answer....this to this site....I am from Newfoundland so he calls Canada as well

had a call at 0430 PST delayed response to answering the call - blank, then "goodbye".

I had just got my second call to in about two weeks n when i told him i dont have a credit card he tried tellin me i was lieing, wich im not acually, and i told him if i was worried about my computer i would take it to my brother who is a certified computer tech and i got him to look it over and he found nothing so i installed new softwhere protection and anti virus and firewall just incase they tried to hack me, when they called today i told them i dont have a computer that i had a smart phone nd again they tried telling me i had one that everyone now a days has one lol

I recently had to blacklist this phone number on my Asterisk box, as they don't stop bothering me about "my computer problems"

un wanted calls from a idiot at 425-668-9652  very annoying  when we answering phone no one is there at first then when he does answer all he says is hello hello

Just had a call from this number. I let it go to VM, and they hung up. My caller ID shows V021114031 - meaning the call is probably coming from offshore, and they've highjacked the number.

I simply don't answer when I see these weird numbers come up, and if repetitive, I block the number.

It's and Indian company that has apparently been spoofing numbers like this for years.  Our telecom security people advised not to answer at all.  If you do pick up by mistake just hang up without saying anything more.  The police have been involved but have received little cooperation from authorities in India.  The phone company said call blocking doesn't work for long as they use a variety of different numbers. sigh.

Just received this call 425-668-9652. Do not recognize it and did not answered. Did a quick search on this site and I see that it is on the list.

man calls and says he is from a computer company and got into our computer

Noticed a call from this number at 9 am, didn't answer.  I have a Mac.  Another rotten scam?  Since early October, I've been getting bombarded with phone calls from charities, now this?  I don't usually answer the phone.  Also, anytime a charity claims to be collecting for the "Police" - hang up - it's another big scam.  What's wrong with people?

Rec'd a call from 425-668-0652 at 6:28 am which woke us up on our day off.  No one there and machine said 'Good-bye'
Frustrating.

My computer was going to shut down because of virus at any time.  THey were technical support, and it was their job to inform me of this.  Claimed to be from microsoft.   Asked me if my computer was on, yes?  I said, which one?! lol   Wanted to know how many i had... I said, try your scam on someone else, and then hung up.

Getting these calls for about a year saying he is from Microsoft. My computer is going to crash.
At first it was a women with Indian accent, and I, like an idiot fell for it, when after several times
refused there service I was told I owed them and my license agreement was theirs, and the F.B.I.
was coming. I' m still waiting. Getting these threatening calls at least 2x a month.
