Penguin rings a bell. I was shopping at Kmart in March 08(or Walmart) can't remember, and a lady approached me with a clip board offering a free drawing for a prize of shopping spree. IN return their new replacement windows rep would call me to give me a quote and a free energy audit or some such thing. So, shame on me for giving out my number at all. I think next time they call, I'll tell them that the person they want (me) died. Or that we just had all new windows put in by Sears. A dead person can't buy windows. Maybe that will get me off their call list. I will contact Penguin directly, too. It's my cell phone they're constantly dialing (automated system keeps it in the loop) until a human answers. So answer it people, and tell them you're dead or that you no longer own a home.

Same stupid mistake.  I was at Kmart when this man approached me for some sort of drawing.  Never again.  Don't give your information to strangers; I should of known better.

Yes its Penguin Windows, I signed up for a house full of free windows at a street fair but said do not call me for advertisement. Just if I win.  They have called me as late as 9:00pm. Keep saying that I have requested more important info for windows and I say I have not.  I have told them for 4 months to remove me from their list. and now they have called 4 times. Each time they say It will be removed within 72 hours which has not happened 4 times now.

I was thinking of getting windows from them but now since they have shown to be dishonest and unethical I will never.

I just started getting these too. Some idiot from Penguin windows approached me in a hardware store offering me a contest for something or other. Stupid me, my mind was on other things and I filled it out before I processed what I was doing. I would never buy from these guys, the whole thing reeked of sleaze, he didn't mention anything about the windows and them calling me until I had already filled it out and only then did I realize he was not an employee of the hardware store. I do need new windows, but I wouldn't buy them from Penguin if they were the last place around.

I already spoke to them and told them I was only interested in them coming over if I won the free windows. so why are they still calling me?  I think their window sweepstakes is a scam.  Noone wins free windows.

My encounter with 425-977-2020 also started at Kmart. I Have two solutions.

1) Send an e-mail to Kmart at help@customerservice.kmart.com

2) Call 425-977-2020 and make an appointment for new windows when they show up tell then the person is not home and reschedule. give them a taste of their own medicine

I got calls from the number twice a day until I figured out it was Peguin Windows calling. I called the number back and there is an option to take your name/number off the call list (option 4). You can try that, I did and am hoping it will work.

Yup, fell for the contest too. Thanks for the tip on calling back and getting on the "do not call" list Elizabeth. Hopefully that will work.

They call 7 times a day!!! I have a newborn and when the phone rings it wakes her up I have to run to get it! They need to STOP calling!!!

I HAD windows installed by penguin, and now they are calling to see if I can "refer" people I know to buy windows. Not cool at all.

BTW the windows were very expensive, and IMO not worth the high price.Great windows for sure, but not THAT great.

I will never give out my phone number at a home and garden show again.  Penguin Windows called 8+ times and never left a message.  I finally called the number back, asked who they were, and requested to be taken off the list.  He asked for my phone number, pulled up my name, and said he would remove me from the list.

receiving calls daily, stopped answering my cell when I see their number, the one time i answered the woman wouldn't identify herself she asked for a woman and argued with me about my address, I hung up, calls are still continuing

I called the 425-977-2020 number back and pressed opt 2 per an earlier post and got a live person from Penguin.  They've been attempting to contact me to offer free home window inspection since I gave my phone number at F&G show for drawing.  She said the hang ups are because of their autodialing system, it rings so many times and moves on to next number.  This autodial mechanism should be outlawed, but I bet it brings in a lot of business.  Not me, whomever uses autodialing will not get my mine!

Spoke to Rick, who wasn't an a**! If you call back they'll take you off the auto-dialer and he said the winner of the drawing will be notified by mail anyway.

These guys are scam artists

Glad to know where this number is from. They have called me about 3 times a day for the past week! I usually have my phone off anyway, so it's not a big deal, but it is getting annoying!

I got a call 2 days ago from this number asking for me. I immediately told this woman THAT I WAS NOT INTERESTED AT ALL.They were calling and asking for my husband from 425-977-2931 as well as several other numbers. When the first guy called  and said that my husband entered a drawing at our local K-mart for windows I told him I can assure you he DID NOT. He then proceeded to try and set up an appointment and I then said again we are not interested. I said our siding was only 3 years old. And he says why wouldn't he? What the hell did I just say, it is only 3 years old. Take me off your list now. Well the calls continued and each one assured me we would be taken off the list. I dont even like going to Kmart anymore because you cant even walk in the door without them pouncing on you. We had the same problem when it was Stateside siding and windows. I was having my blood pressure taken when the guy tried to strong arm me. They also kept calling and the only way I made them stop was to threaten them with legal action for harassment if they kept calling.

this freaking number calls me every single day 3 time a day. they need to get a life. it's pissing me off.

I get calls several times a day from this # as well as 425-977-2931

They called me.  Some girl named Jessica who worked for them.  When I told them I had already spoken to someone from the company she hung up on me...but it took about 20 seconds for the disconnect to work.  I could hear her breathing! lol  I called them back and spoke to some #$$h&l@ on the phone and gave him my name and number and told him that Jessica had hung up on me, then told him I was hanging up on him now and to not call me again.  I don't get mad, I just know now that they $&@k and when I see them in a mall I can't wait to speak with them.  lol  Now when telemarketers call I give them Penguin's number and ask them to call back on that number.  A-holes.

I receive telephone calls from the number 425-977-2020 daily, sometimes up to three calls.  There is no business name and they leave no message.  I personally make a practice of not answering incoming calls from unfamiliar numbers. I will take the next incoming call from them and if who ever it is will 'kindly' be asked to stop calling and remove my name from their calling list.  This type of practice of calling clients, or potential clients and not leaving a message nor flashing a legitimate business name as their caller presence - should be changed in the name of business ethics.

I was shopping for windows and spoke with Penguin at my home about a week ago. It was a total sleazy, used-car sales pitch and they are way overpriced. The "heat lamp" test is a joke, and represents only radiant heat transfer and is not a true measure of heat loss. It's a slick snak-oil sales trick to fool the uninformed.

Oh, and if I "made the investment decision today and moved forward" with signing a contract right then and there I'd save 11%.

Instead of not leaving a message, i picked up the call and the guy just laughed... so i hung up. These people need to be arrested for harassment.
