About 6 months ago, we asked to be removed from the PFFU call list every time they called us (which was at least once a day for at least 3 months at one point). The calls stopped for several months, and now they are back at it, using this new number. The men who call are, without exception, aggressive and insulting. Today, I told the man that PFFU has quite a negative reputation, that I want to be removed from the call list, and that I will not give money to this "charity." The entire time I was talking, he was talking over me, telling me that I wasn't demonstrating proper respect for firefighters and other heroes who risk their lives to make sure that I and my family members are safe...(blah, blah, blah). I am sorry that firefighters have hired these people to raise money for them.

I received a call from 435-238-7787.  I'm concerned about how much personal information requested that I stupidly shared.  What is this? Is it a legitimate call for donations for the Professional Firefighters Union?

They call the business all the time. But if what Magical1 says to be true, there is no way in hell I am donating to the telemarketers. I'd rather fill the boot and be on my merry way. Instead this a***ole calls and doesnt want to leave a message

My wife and I have gotten a number of calls from "PFFU" the last couple of months.  We do not pick up the phone, and, the caller never leaves a message.  Having retired from the LAFD 2 years ago, after 30 years of service, I know that we NEVER solicited over the phone!  Neither did any of the other Fire Depts. in Southern Cal. The only fund raising we ever did was the Jerry Lewis/Muscular Dystrophy "Fill the Boot" campaign....and that was by standing (in uniform/on duty/with our fire trucks nearby) in a public area (street/sidewalk usually) and letting people voluntarily donate by (literally) putting money into a turnout boot. 100% of the donations went to "Jerry's Kids".  IF these calls are truly (and I doubt they are) coming from the Professional Firefighters of Utah, they are way out of line with what's considered "acceptable protocol".  For now, I'm considering these calls to be a scam.

This is the Professional Fire Fighters of Utah. According to a KSL investigative report, 80% of the funds raised by these guys go to the telemarketers making the calls. The "goal" of the campaign is to raise money for burned kids to go to a camp. But according to the article only 7 cents of every dollar raised actually benefits the kids.

Call 8002533550 and press option 9 as soon as he starts talking. Then watch as he says his skeevy "Goodbye for now." Just like when you call the 435 number like I did to get off this list. Oh and one more thing, why is it you would list your hours in EST as you are calling only Utah residents from a supposed Utah company? FAIL.

This PFFU has called at least 5 times in a week. I tell them I am not interested and they persist. I get calls at all hours of the day. I just want it to stop. I said no and no means no. I need to pay my disconnect notices before donating to a phone call.

Keep getting messages on the answering machine from this number. The message is just static. Looked it up and I guess it's Professional Fire Fighters of Utah. Probably just looking for donations.

This is the second time they've called in a week. Caller ID says PFFU, I'm not interested in donating to them. I've told them this in the past. Obviously it didn't do any good. I just pick up the phone receiver and hang it back up.
