Yes, their son was crying also. I am helping them compile a letter and also going to contact FTC and Attorney General as well as FBI. Probably won't get them anywhere but if they can track phone information, why not be able to do this and put a stop to them fraudulent scam

So terrible what these people are doing. My parents just about fell for it. My "son" was crying and begging and even used the names he uses when he talks to his grandparents. Thank goodness they took a minute to call my son because my dad was getting ready to go to western uniion. These people do their research and it is scary what they know. I called the Federal Trade Commision and Attorney General's office to report it.

My parents were called and they foolishly fell for the scam. They spoke to a guy that was crying and said he was in jail and "please help" They wired money and thankfully I was given the heads up before they sent the second payment and stopped them.

This Just happened to my elderly parents. They gave an elaborite story about my son, their grandson being arrested in Mexico City on drug charges. They even had someone pretend to be my son begging for money to get him out of jail. My dad asked why he did not call me and he said that he did not want me to know. They wanted my parents to send them $1300 or he would sit there for six weeks. Please do not fall for this!!!!!

They are back at it again today. They answer the phone "US Embassy may I help you"? Next they ask "what marine is working your case"? Like there are multiple marines assisting individuals being detained at the US border in Mexico City which is hundreds of miles from the US border. For those energetic enough, crank the crab out of those rat b*****d Canadians. Please, at least it will waist there time and possibly save another elderly victim.

Just happen to my parents an hour ago. First: a marine from an American embassy will NEVER call directly. State Department staff will. The marines protect and never interface with the public. Second: The french c*** suckers, sorry for being redundant, are spineless a***oles for praying on the elderly. They have inactivated the 438 number temporarily as I harassed them for awhile.
