no one responds. they say its power direct

a half-dozen calls from powerdirect over the past week

They call me 3 times a day. I never answer, they never leave message, and this is a cell phone number they call me on. IDK how they have it.

Got a call from them have no idea who they are, message left sounded as if someone just left the phone off the hook, no one ever spoke or anything - but i could hear background noise

I have a number that has been on the DNC list for 4 years now and they still call. I would love to nail them with an $11,000 per call fine.

I'm getting the same crap from this number.  I've been on the DNC list for years, also, and it doesn't seem to make any difference.  There's no teeth in the law.

I called back, and they claimed they were DirecTV.

Every afternoon 5:30 cell ring no one answer recording say stay on line someone will be with you shortly

I called directv, some how I was part of the 'promotion list' and they removed me. I hope this fixes the problem :(

same issue as others above. I canceled a directv install now I get these random calls that don't even say anything it just hangs up. Stupid idiots.

Yeah, I looked up this site to see what this number was (obviously) and sure enough, my complaint falls in line: I cancelled a Direct TV installation service.
I can only assume because they're trying to render every customer service call through a machine these days, it will take repeated calls to fix. Awesome. Kill me.

Just got a call on my cell phone from this number...thought it was a scamming #, so I looked it up on google (440 area code scam) but this website came up, and saw someone else had a problem with the same exact number.  But now I see that its not a "scam" but just Direct TV...which I just canceled on last week.  Thanks for the info!

I just started getting the calls from this number, as well as a couple of other numbers (one that comes up Restricted and one that comes up Unavailable) and we too cancelled DirecTV installations.  Within the past week we ordered DirecTV 3 times and cancelled twice.  We finally got an agreeable installation and contract negotiated and went through with it with the third install; however, we had a second opinion from the supervisor after our third installer pulled a 'bait and switch' and eventually went to his van and left without a word.  The supervisor arranged for a lead tech to do the instal the next day after he came out and confirmed that we could have our HD disc pole mounted in an inconspicuous location.

My first install I used my cell number, the second our land line and the third our cell again.  On my land line I have been getting similar calls too.  

I found out through the DirecTV Resolution center that their Install Company is IRONWOOD COMMUNICATIONS their Customer Service Issues number 800 805 8570.  Interestingly enough, besides their website, a google search will also bring up a lot of complaints about installers.  When I called the number to ask to not be called, they said I had to go through DirecTV customer service to do that.

I get this call every night between 6:30-7:30.  The calls started about 3 or 4 days after I had cancelled a Direct TV installation.  If I answer there is no response and then the line will go dead after 10 seconds or so

Same deal - cancelled a direct tv installation and now I get these calls 1-2 times a day.

Anybody know how to get Direct TV to stop this for EVERYONE so we don't all have to waste our time calling and getting off their lists?!?!

Yep I have the same Direct tv experience. and just read 1000 more. Next time I'll answer and say if they do not remove my number I'll sue. Then I heard they stop!

Basically the same experiences as above through Direct TV - cancelled in plenty of time before scheduled install - they never came but can't seem to get my number out of their system. Now, I just don't answer - been getting calls every 2-3 days.

I got a call from this number on Dec 7th.  I'd signed up for Direct TV but canceled it before they installed it because after spending hours on the phone explaining to them that my husband had hooked them up in the past and knew what he was doing, I didn't need or want them in my home. I'm disabled physically and do not like strangers in my home because I never know from day to day how I will feel.  I don't even want family around when I don't feel well let alone someone hooking up Direct TV.  They refused to let my husband do the install.  Then, this company keeps calling to set up a time to do the installation.  I keep telling them I've canceled the install, that they need to remove my number from their system. One woman said it takes 5-7 days to process that request. Then she had the nerve to tell me not to call back if they did call again because that puts my number in their system. I informed her I'd call each and every time they called to reach a supervisor to complain, then I'd be filing suit for harassment. So far they've never called back.

I just got a call from this number also. I had cancelled a DircTV installation recently as well. I wasn't gonna pay them $300 for a deposit. The guys name was Larry. Told him I wasn't gonna pay that, and he said "OK" and hung up

This phone number appeared on my caller id with "unknown".  When I tried to call it back, it said the number was unavailable.  I cancelled DirecTV recently, so it would make sense that they would be following up.  They have already called my work number but I do not have caller id there.....

I get a call on my cell phone from this number everyday, sometimes twice.  It rings once and that's it.

Yeah never got a response when I picked up and get about 2-3 phone calls a day ranging from 11am to all the way to 8pm at night. I never pick up anymore. Hopefully donotcall.gov helps out.

I've gotten this call several times over the past week on my cell. They never leave a message & when I called back the number, a recording answers saying "Thank you for calling Power Direct". Once I googled 'Power Direct' I found listings for a marketing service. Think that's what this is.

get this call several times every day.  Answer it, but no one ever responds.
