I actually have been through a meeting with someone from this place and it is basically a pyramid scheme. You work for this company selling financial plans to people to get out of debt. The plans were expensive (way to expensive for families who are in debt to afford). Then the guy told me that after I work my way up I would be able to recruit people and receive a portion of their sales. I said, wait so people like you get part of the money I make just because you recruited me? He said yup. I said thanks and walked out.

Um, this isn't a pyramid scheme. They are a financial advisors network. The letters PFS stand for Primerica Financial Services. I don't work for them and never have and am not a client, but they are a legit company. They have more financial advisors than any other financial firm. I loved the comment "Do not go unless you want to start at the bottom and work your way up".....heaven forbid anyone work hard anymore.
If you know anything about being a financial advisor, unless you have a family with millions in net worth that is allowing you to manage their money without a license or another advisor is willing to share some of their assets with you to get you started, you always have to work your way up from the bottom.

The mysterious Eugene is very busy cold calling people. He has left several messages at my office similar to the other reports on who calls me with no details about himself or his organizaiton only asking to see if I'm keeping my interveiw options open. I don't return calls if you don't provide details on why you are calling or how you came to know me.

Eugene called me too. Said my resume or name came across his desk. Never called him back. Sounds like the pyramid scheme comment above is on target if he is cold calling all these people. So perhaps there is some opportunity out there, but probably isn't anything good.

I got a call from Eugene. He said he obtained my info from a referral. When I asked from whom, he simply stated that it had just come across his desk and he would have to look into the matter. He said Primerica was expanding in this area and looking for talented individuals. I asked if sales were involved and was led to believe that they were not a requirement, so I went to the interview.
Do not go unless you want to start at the bottom and work your way up. Sales are a must. Theirs is a referral based service, so they want you to get referrals for new business from all potential clients.
I believe that Eugene is cold calling all names and numbers he obtains to recruit new salesman. This is a pyramid structure. I was disappointed that I wasted my time. Don't bother unless you like finance sales and drumming up new clients.
NOT what I expected!

Eugene is from PRIMERICA. I have heard many a people tell me to stay away from them. I get calls from them everytime I renew my real estate license.

Got a call for "Eugene" with foreign accent also... He called me at work and left a message on my voice mail. He said that he was the VP and that had gotten my business card and would like to talk to me. Sounds like a scram to me - message deleted.

Got a message from some guy named Waneed Bhuyan today. I called back and he told me that he got one of my bussiness cards and told me the name of it 0_o told me that the name of the company is Primerica and that it is going through an expansion and they're looking for hispanic people to teach other hispanic people about finance and money and if I was interested in a position. He also told me that they are planning on opening another office on the West side of Cleveland which is where I live. I said yes and he gave me an appointment for today at 7:30 p.m. I found it too rare. Why would a big company like he says it is would give appointments that late? So I ran home to look the address up and found this site. I am a female and would NOT for any reason risk myself like that!

He got a referral for you but didn't have any information about you? That is creepy right there.

Received a voice mail message on Nov 11, 2011 from Eugene at this number. Said we had been playing phone-tag for a few years and to give him a call back. I did not recognize the name or number so I did not return his call.

I received a message from Eugene from Telmaricorp who said he was located in Northeast Ohio and wanted to know if I was interested in looking into an exciting new business opportunity. I told him I was in law school and hung up immediately. I wish I would have stayed on to gather more information but I was totally creeped out.
He sounded foreign, possibly Indian or Middle Eastern.

I got a call from this number. He knew my first name and phone number, so I became curious.
The man said his name was Eugene. He said he got a referral for me. I asked who exactly gave him the referral. He said it was just a name and a number on a post-it note on his desk; he said it was probably one of his associates.
He said he worked for a local business that was going through an expansion, and he wanted to know if I was interested in a position. I told him I go to school full time and have a part time job, so I'm pretty busy. He asked where I go to school. I said that I went to Kent State. He asked what I studied, and I said finance and economics.
I asked what company he worked for. He said the largest financial services business in the area (I found it interesting that he only mentioned that it was a finance business after I said that is what I am studying. He never did say what "in the area" meant. Probably trying to keep the conversation as relatable as possible.). I asked what the name was, and he said TFS. After I hung up and thought about it for a minute, I should have asked if those letters stood for anything or if they were just his three favorite numbers.

Got a message from Derrick Stevens from this number saying he has my business card and would like to talk to me. No message beyond that. I didn't call back.
| Jeff 2011-06-06 20:49:16 Unknown |
Same here. A man named Eugene left a message to call him back since my name was given to him. I never return calls that do not leave a specific message. In my profession, serious calls that I don't recognize always always leave a message about what they want and who referred them. Probably a sales or recruiting call.
| Dale 2011-06-06 20:49:16 Unknown |
Guy name Eugene, saying he was a recruiter, asked if it was a good time to talk.

I spoke with a man named Eugene, claiming he had my resume. He offered a job interview at his office located at 2855 West Market St, Suite 222 in Akron, Ohio. He suggested I wear business attire. Got creeped out by all these comments and didn't go.
