They call for a few months...then they stop since they never get an answer. Then it starts up again. You can brag up your telemarket scam as much as you want and you can call it a "legitimate company" if you want. But if a company is that persistent to sell you something you don't want and are trying to ignore in hopes they simply go away......It must not be on the "up and up". I will quickly call them a "SCAM"..and hope they rot in hell waiting till I answer.

If this indeed AIL (American Income Life) I have a life insurance policy with them...  It is not a scam.  AIL is real.  Wonder why they called me?

I received 10 calls from this company today.  I did not apply for a sales position of any kind.  After the 10th call, I called them back.  The office was closed.  I left a message for them not to call me again, that 10 called in one day was harassment.  I told them I would report them to the authorities, if they called me again.

I have received multiple e-mails from these people and also just started getting phone calls and just like everyone else, they don't leave a message. I recently have been job searching and posting my resume so I'm sure thats where they got it. I have no problem being rude to people who pester me, so next time they call or e-mail I've got a few words for them! What a scam, their full of s***.

Got a call from the number 440-582-0040 with the scpiel about gaps in coverages relating to unions. They got my resume through Monster. I declined because was suspicious for getting a phone call on a Sunday afternoon for one and he had a thick accent not from the USA. Googled the number and found this blog. Glad I went with my gut.

Received call from a Patrick who said he has my resume and started asking me questions about my job history and experience. He did somehow have a copy because he knew my college. Possibly got it from Craigslist or indeed.com. but I very rarely apply to anything via Craigslist, and when I do I only send them my first name, no phone number, etc. So I bet they got this from indeed.com. Anyways, he wanted to set me up for an interview, but I cut him off. He was also rambling about some union connection thing, I don't know what he was talking about! I marked it on my phone as a do not answer.

It is A.I.L insurance they are a royal pain. We have policies thru them and every year its the same. "we need to come see you and review your policy" If you don't want high pressure sales, more insurance, and you don't want to waste your time just tell them NO! And to boot what they quote you for whatever policy you may be interested in its always more when the bill comes in.

American Income is NOT a scam.  American Income has been in business for a half a century.  They handle permanent benefits for over 3,000 unions and associations in several countries. It is owned by Torchmark Corp which is trading at 52.11 a share and is one of Warren Buffet's favorite picks.  As far as a career choice, it's one of the best routes to go for some people, but it's not for everyone.

I find it funny to see how simple minded some people are.

It is American Income Life Insurance, they do want you to sell insurance, you will make a lot of money if you can sell. PROBLEM- I was called in for an interview under the guise of "union benefits rep" to be a CSR for the existing union members' coverages....NOPE. The address they gave me to go for an interview is AIL and all they want you to do is sell life insurance to your family and friends, then just like Radio Shack, they fire you after you have gone through everyone you know.
I don't deal with sneaky people or liars, so I cancelled the interview. They are still calling....I let it go to voice mail but they never leave a message. They are picking resumes off Monster and any other site that has public resumes. I thought I was something special because they picked me, but they call any and everyone. I was very clear on the phone and on Monster that I do not sell well, I do not want a sales position,  so why do they keep calling? Maybe they have seen my contacts on Facebook and figure there is 500 people to try to sell life insurance to....

I answered a call from this number today in the morning and I was told that they worked with unions like firefighters and police officers when there benefits run out or something they didn't make it that clear but it sounded like some kind of union job. The man I talked to was named Lazerus and the name was different than Amercan Life Insurance it was Sacrice-Smith not in the least bit close to American Insurance this company is misrepresenting themselves and should be turned in regardless if they call you back or not. People out here really need jobs and don't need some sham company yanking their chain.

Left a very quick message, said his name was Eric and that it was urgent that I called him and HR wanted to set up a meeting with me asap. Funny, I've been employed for almost a year and a half. Where did they find my resume? Thankfully I googled the number :)

Got a call from this number about 55 minutes ago. I've been laid-off since October of last year and I'm trying to save my money to go towards going to college to get my P&C license, I don't have time for this crap! So I just let it ring and if it's important they'll leave a voicemail, nope! If they're a legitimate Insurance company or Agency, it wouldn't say Unavailable on the caller I.D. and they would most likely leave a voicemail. I have received frequent calls from this number as of late and all the times they have not left a voicemail, were already registered with the national do not call list and if I keep getting calls from this number, I'm forwarding it to the local police.

This number 440-582-0040 called my house today at 11:43am and it said Unavailable on the caller I.D., if I see a phone number I don't recognize I don't answer it, especially if it says Unavailable! They didn't leave a message on the answering machine so it must not have been important.

Got a call from this number about 20 minutes ago. I'm a college student and all my money is going towards books. I don't have time for this crap. So I just called back and a woman picked up and I'll give it to her that she was polite. She said that they were an Insurance company and she doesn't know why they called me. She said they had 300 people who worked there and it was probably because of my resume. I told her I haven't even been putting one out and to take me off of their call list. If I get another call I'm forwarding it to the cops because I have been getting a call from this number at least three times a week for the past four months and I'm done.

Got the same call from "Melissa" saying she was from SSA of Ohio.  I talked to her and for a quick minute, I thought it was a legitimate job opportunity.  I googled the address she gave me to appear for the interview and American Income Life Insurance pops up.  I have heard of this scam company before.  I am in no way, shape or form interested in selling ANYTHING.  Funny, because on the phone she said there is NO SELLING and the salary is GUARANTEED.  I called her back asking for a web address to go to for further information and no call back.  I'm on to your scam little lady, lol.  Glad I was smart enough to google!!

While AIL isn't directly a scam, it is of scammy nature. Post your resume on any major job site and they'll pester you, along with the likes of Primerica, trying to get you to sell insurance. No matter how many times I tell them no, they still call. They are very persistent.

I raelize American Income Life is an actual insurance company. But with that information in mind, why does my caller ID read Valerie Rose, rather than American Income Life ? At any rate, the number has been blocked.I have all the insurance that I need.

American Life insurance calling about a job.   Although not an actual pyramid scheme it is an MLM ( multi-level marketing which is close enough but legal in the US.. Answer the call and decline the interview and ask them to add you to a no call list... Since you are already on a computer open a word document(pad or microsoft), and take the time number and person you talked to down... Save it and keep doing it with other calls, gives you weight in a simple lawsuit.

I received this call in response to posting my resume on Career Board (is that the name?).  I have had these calls in the past from insurance people and almost went to an interview recently before searching out the comments made by other about the company.  I don't even recall the name of the company.  I recall now that I did this company--American Life--a mass interview and definitely a pyramid scheme.  When I talked with someone today she talked so rapidly I had to ask her to repeat the name of the company and then she said they provide insurance to union members.  Although she had just said she had reviewed my resume, she asked what I did on my last job.  She asked if that is what I wanted to continue to do--data entry although called legal assistant.  I told her no because I want to actually work in the legal field and obtain my Ohio law license as I have a degree obtained in another state where I did practice.  She quickly decided that I "wasn't a good fit."  I think she saw that I wasn't going to fall for their b***s***.  Sadly, like you, I need a job and keep hoping something is legit!  Not these insurance people that contact you in this economy.  I see from researching the other company that these positions are door-to-door and cold calls--basically telemarketing.  So do you want to do that?
