Just got a call from Ken Carter. 440-863-5444 and again from 877-267-3265 telling me that I have a court appearance and needed my address to send the paperwork. Called 4 times in a row in the same day. Going to call the state AG office for Alabama. They handled a similar one like this swiftly. Even got an apology letter from the company.

This was someone that called himself Ed and was trying to collect on an eight year old debt from the step-daughter.

I spoke with an attorney today and was informed by him that this is a scam. I reported this to the FBI and the FTC besides the FCC.

To everyone who looks at these blogs: Please read all of the ones from me, Over it. If we at least notify the FCC it might help. Otherwise I am on a campaign of calling them and harassing them with hang up calls. A tit for a tat.  What they are doing is illegal.

Don't get angry, take action. File an online complaint with the FCC. If you have free long distance services call them over and over again and hang up. Just a few minutes a day from thousands of people may get them off our backs.

This is illegal. You may submit a complaint to the FCC online. it takes only a few minutes. They do bot have the exact radio button to use so I used the telemarketer button and was able to leave all of the info about them and a written complaint about their abuse. Let's keep up the submissions so that someone might even listen.

I have been receiving these calls for some time. I do not owe the debt they are trying to collect. I have a beautiful credit report with no problems what so ever.

I called back today and got someone named Ken Carter. I doubt this is his real name. Frankly, I do not think they care if the debt is valid or not. They simply bully people into giving them money and if you did owe a debt it will certainly not be relieved by paying them anything, even in full.

I found that they finally stopped calling when I called their number over and over for the last 30 minutes and I hung up on them. One woman who answered had the audacity to say they were the IRS. I have reported this to the FCC. I had to report it under the telemarketing calls radio button but I was able to complete the form with my comments and get a case number. We all need to do this to try to stop this harrassment. I am fortunate enough to have free long distance. If all of us with free long distance sit down and call them over and over for a few minutes a day they will at least know what it feels like to be harrassed. I also got their IPOffice mailbox. You can leave a message there.

Continue to get these calls at least 5 times per day for the last 4 months. Called back a man answers said his name is Ken Carter would not give me the name of the company said by law he didn't have to identify anything and he would be the one asking the questions. By law they do have to identify the company they are calling from. This is a total scam so beware. If you do call and get this Ken Carter guy he is very rude and will start yelling at you to get the answers he wants....I hung up and in the future if I get another call from 440-863-5444 the attorney generals office will be alerted. Sick of these people already.

They are a collection agency who purchases very old debts and tries to collecton them. They pass themselves off as the legal department of ARS - Attorney Recovery Service. They givea different call back number,

I got a call today saying they were collecting on a debt I know was filled in bankruptcy yrs ago.  Collecting for 1997.  my area code in 303 what are they calling me for.  I owe noone either.

same thing here, they call daily then hang up.  I called them back and received a message saying it was IPOffice answering the call and no one was available at this extension.  This is very annoying.  Area code 440 and I live in area code 501.  This should be illigal.

I got calls from this number several times started this month (Feb), but didn't answer it. I blocked my number and call this # but someone answered, seems like it is a home, I hang up and blocked that # from calling me.

Anyone getting calls from this one?  I've gotten it 5 times with no voice mail.

everyday, anytime, I receive calls from this number, when I pick phone up, they hang up.  Is there anyway to stop these bothering calls.  The calls come from Berea, OH, and I live in Philadelphia.
