Received a call today from the 866 number but asked me to call the 440-892-2300. Never got the name of the company calling because it starts before answering machine picks up. Called the number but were closed but even then you don't know the name of the company. I still do not have clue why they called...don't owe anybody anything

It's illegal in Ohio to call your place of employment. I always tell them they are being recorded and to state company name and phone number. Most won't talk to you if being recorded. Also if you send a certified letter that they can only notify you by mail, they can't call any more. Check state laws regarding debt collators.

FYI paragraph 805(a)(3) on page 8 of the FDCPA http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre27.pdf states: "COMMUNICATION WITH THE CONSUMER GENERALLY. Without the prior consent of the consumer given directly to the debt collector or the express permission of a court of competent jurisdiction, a debt collector may not communicate with a consumer in connection with the collection of any debt? ... (3) at the consumer?s place of employment if the debt collector knows or has reason to know that the consumer?s employer prohibits the consumer from receiving such communication." I think this means they can call you at work until informed that employees are not allowed to have debt collection calls or if they have a court order in hand.

Well I dont have any health care bills, and some man from this number is not only calling persistently on my cell, but has called a job refusing to leave a message that I havent been at in over a year. All my debt is paid, and this number is harassing me! Not to mention- calling someone at their work(whether Im there anymore or not) is uncalled for! Any debt of mine is no one's business but mine, and could ruin my reputation at a job!

States they are a collection agency. Has small website "HMC Group" can make payments online. Trying to see if they are a legit company.
