I just had a similar as peaved person above. Undoubtedly it was a scam but I wonder what would have happened had I said I wanted extended warranty coverage. He probably would have asked for personal info. Don't these people ever give up? I guess just having a couple of people respond positively lets them get away with identity theft and worse.

Same thing AUTO WARRANTY COVERAGE when I asked to be taken off the the list she wanted more information from me and if I did not give her more information they would keep on calling me.

When I answered, I got a recorded message asked me to press 1 for auto warranty coverage. i pressed 1 and got a man with a jamaican accent. i asked for the name of the company and phone number. he told me "warranty activation center" i asked again for the phone number and then he hung up on me.
