I received a similar email about a CL post I was stupid and gave out my info now hes says he mailing a check I replied with item no longer available was picked up with cash, has the harassment stopped with you how long did it take just wondering thanks for your help

No, the business is not legit. These are checks that are used for various scams, such as the (reported many, many, many times here) "I'll buy it, but I'm out of town" scam. The scammer's get people to run off & mail their bogus checks for them. Guess who the cops come after as people get scammed? Sorry to tell you this, but 100% of all job offers by phone, text, or email are fake. Excellent information on this topic at fraudwatchers.org.

They emailed me too. Asking for me to print and mail checks for them. The guy's name is Emmanuel Lucas and is from General Motors. Not sure if this is legit business. Says he'll pay 600.00 bi-weekly

Received the same e-mail, different phone number (513-393-9846), but essentially the same e-mail message (emma4zd@gmail.com). Did not respond. It was an obvious scam.

Haha I just got the same email and I knew it was a scam, so figured I would search his name and found this board. Hopefully nobody will waste a second longer than 10 at most on this one.

I contacted the company he represents and told them what was going on. They know nothing about who he is, or the position he is trying to HIRE you for. Watch out complete scam or spam and I reported it to the owner of the company he pretends to represent.

I just rec'd an email from a Craigslist ad I posted. I was looking for a job (in Houston) and he emailed me and gave me that phone number and told me to text him. He said his name was Emmanuel W. Lucas. I'm not calling. Thanks for the info !

Fraud attempt from this number. I was selling an item on Craig's list and this person Posing as Gabriel Leo sent me a bogus check for $2400 more than what I was asking for my item. Then he wanted me to wire money via a western union to another person using my own cash before the check cleared. My bank said the check was made from a computer. Beware!
