Have you heard from this guy since?  I never received a call but noticed my Visa was charged for 3 laptops and 2 t.v.s!  It was quite a while ago and I was just wondering if you've heard from him lately?  They were purchased in Michigan but shipped to Maryland...  I have no idea how they got my credit card info?

Same call, but cound not understand his heavy accent with the call breaking up every few seconds.
Told him he would have to come in to our office for any help.
He said he was not around and said thanks anyway.

we received the same call on July 25th - gave name of Abraham Moses, heavy African accent. Called him back at one point, but don't get a response. He called back. It was obvious he was using some kind of calling system, as it made weird initial music tones, then dead air, then music tone again, then he comes on.
Claims to be in Maryland, but the fax comes in from a Linda McGowan from an address in NY. Denies being in NY, but says he lives with her and some other people or some such.

Anyway, he misunderstood and we ended up going through getting him sold desktops instead of laptops. Was very understanding about the mixup, was even ok with going forward with the sale.... which any normal customer would not.
Gave us two different cards to cover all costs --

would not verify the issuing bank -- so determined the fraud.

He was rushing rushing and very insistent on getting it done quick. Very rude but polite at the same time. Called back at least 30 times as we were getting everytihing setup. He was rushing us to get weights on everything so he could get FedEx over to pick it up. Sent them over before we were ready, etc. Very annoying and I was fed up with him.

Then, it finally hits... we find out that the shipment was going to Ghana.
At that point, we shut down our end of things and I start into fraud mode.
VISA phone support btw is a joke. They don't care.

A male with a heavy African accent wanted to buy 5 laptops from me as long as I shipped them in a box to him.  He offered to pay for all of them without any concern but he needed them now and only by Visa.  He wanted to pay only direct and refused Google Checkout (which accepts Visa).  When I lost cell connection I saw that he tried calling me 3 more times but never left a message.  I concluded that this may be a scheme.
