just recieved a call from this number and they claimed to help me get free government money??? i have no idea why and then they said they work for matthew lesco... so this might be a scam

me too but the hung quietly on my answering machine..then hung up.
also been getting threatening calls from men with thick foreign accents with numerous phone #s.
they say i need a lawyer fast and all they can do "is wish me good lck with the situation that is about to come down on you."
also.."We have not received a reply Janis. We are going to show up at your residence of place of employment with local law enforcement if you don't call us back."
i'm just a homebody with my pets here, lol.
i have reported this to the local police and the calls stopped for awhile...then started again.
i'm going to go to the FBI link to report scams...i'll post the link here when i get.

They called my business fax line, so I wrote down the number and called it back. I said "someone called my fax from this number and I was curious to know who it is" This guy with a foreign accent went on a sales pitch about grants, and I said why would I need someone to tell me how to get a grant, and what do I need a grant for?" He said ok thank you and hung up on me.

I called back from my cell phone because I didnt want my fax number being called and when they answered I said I wanted to have my fax removed from their call list...he said they did already remove it and hung up. The thing was I called them from my cell, and they had no idea what fax number I was talking about.

I am rather irate, I would like to know which federal agency to contact about this.

They keep calling me. I even asked the lady why are they scamming people out of money.  If anyone finds out which government agency to report them, please post it.  I'm getting tired of them and i don't want to have to change my number.

I get a call from this number about once a day.  I will pick up next time to see what they are pitching.

If you get a phone call saying that people are authorized to give away US Grant money and you have been selected to receive it, it is a fraud that the FBI have been working for over 2 years to uncover.  Millions of people have lost money.....usually less than a couple hundred dollars, but you WILL NOT receive a valid check from the US government.  It looks real, and I think the employees BELIEVE the checks are real, but they are not, and if you try to cash it you will be charged with an NSF fee, and you will not get any of your money back that you sent in order to receive the check in the first place.  They are operating out of this area code, as well as a few others in the DC area.    BE ware!      US Grant money can ONLY be received by filling out the grant paperwork and being accepted..... there is NO short cut, no matter what they say to try to convince you that you have been selected to receive it.

Someone just called asking for the model on our copier to send out a new manual.  I told her we do not have an account with them and she said, "Thats right you B*tch", and I hung up the phone.  She called back and I did not answer.

Received call on June 8, 2010-didn't answer it.

They said they were provided the number from a database and were offering information on how to get money from the government.  However, could not really understand the caller due to accent. She hung up after I asked question after question.

We received two calls in two days (non-consecutive). It rings twice and stops. Says "Maryland Call" in the caller ID.
