I have recieved 3 similar emails from postings on the Portland, OR craigslist.  All are in regards to applications for a bookkeeping/administrative assistant job.  All pay way too highly and all say that he is currently out of the counrty and will return in 3 weeks.  
The Alias names he has used are "Steve WIllliams myrse755@aol.com," "Scott Kevin/Frank Jose," and "Enger Adam Hernandez."
His emails are not very professional as the have misspelled words and the email address name doesn't match up with the name or company he signs the letter with.
Watch out for this guy! I have just been deleting the emails, but is there someway that we can catch him?

I also came across this posting on craigslist in LA.  I thought the lengthy email he sent and giving to much information seemed off. So I did some research and saw all of your posting. I think it is a scam so I have stopped all emails and deleted them.  If you come across this I would stop right then and there.

i should have been more cautious about giving it over the internet but i really need the money. what do i do know that he has all of this?

Got the same thing. I even asked for a picture. And I got one! Obviously a scam.

This man also advertised on Craigs list in New orleans June2010 only with a different family-two children and being a widower. What he is doing sounds like the Nigerian check thing, where they write a check to you to pay for something and you give them back the amount written over what they owe you and you are left holding the bag as the check is not any good. IN this case, you are paying someone money and you get to keep the worthless check!

furniture,i am planning on having them delivered to the house before
our arrival so that we can settle in comfortably.Here is where we
arrive: (545 W 3rd St. #B Long Beach, CA 90802).Due to the limited
time that we have before our arrival,we are making arrangements with a
shipper to help us deliver our stuffs and furniture before our
arrival,You can understand that transiting cross atlantic is not
easy.We will ask you for a favour here,can we rely on you to take
delivery of our stuffs and furniture for us when they are delivered?
We will instruct the shipper to contact you to schedule a delivery
date and time that will be convenient for you to receive the
stuffs,cars and furniture for us.As you will be handling the delivery
of our stuffs,cars and furniture for us,we will ask our financier to
include the costs of our shipping agent with the deposit to be sent to
