Here's an effective trick: if you can ever manage to get yourself connected to a live person, blow a bear horn into your phone. May not keep the company from calling you again, but the SAME PERSON sure won't. They will have lost their hearing.

Instead of just complaining, please post details of the call. My call started off promising "$3000 in savings certificates" and marketed to people 65 and older. The sales call was for a medical alert system and was similar to other calls dating back to June 2013. It said "press 1 now to learn more or press 5 to be placed on a do-not-call list. When I pressed "1" the call ended this time.
If we share information about these calls, we can use it to take them to court, using the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 (TCPA) and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) DECLARATORY RULING Released May 9, 2013. Together you can hold the seller (whoever benefits from the sale) to go after the telemarketer, holding them vicariously liable under federal common law principles of agency for violations of either section 227(b) or section 227(c) of the TCPA that are committed by third-party telemarketers.

This caller will not stop - obviously a scam and cannot get them to stop calling. On National Do Not Call List - please if someone can stop these crooks from calling we would appreciate it very much.

458 isn't a Eugene prefix, my guess is that this is a spoofed caller id.  Eugene is in the 451 area code.  ROT, don't answer numbers you don't recognize, quickly pick up and hang up! The quicker you do this, the better so the call doesn't make a full connect.

This number called me with the name EUGENE then  OR i answered and they hung up. I guess they were scouting to see if a real person answered, so i guess my number will go on the telemarketing pile because i answered the phone.

please get rid of these calls if it is not these people it is Victoria or use to be known as Ann from Card holder Services. enough is enough. I thought they passed a law where it was ilegal for people to still be continueing this. We are on no call list we have blocked them, told to take us off the list, nothing helps.

When I answered the phone, there was a recording offering me a free trip somewhere if I answer several questions. I hung up. I've received theses calls more than once.

its a scam operated by Caribbean Cruise Lines, they are violating the law.  Each call you get entitles you to $500 in damages.  Contact their lawyer at Greenspoon Marder in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  (they are NOT on the west coast), their attorney is a guy by the name of Robby Birnbaum (google him and Greenspoon Marder) send him an intent to sue and they will shut up.

Got a call from this number took the survey. Most of the questions were press '1' for yes '2' for no. Only hit 7. 8 or 9. Waited for the operator. Asked her the name of the company. She said "international call center" Then when I asked who they worked for she hung up. Next time I will be more sly about it and see what more I can get out of them.

Yes I hate these calls. I put them in my no call list home and cell but that only last for 30 days. It's good for a while then they call back.  When you call back it takes you to a recording saying you can be put on a no call back list. I don't trust these knuckel heads.

My caller ID showed "MRK RCHGRP" and "458-201-0161".  They did not leave a message on my answering machine but instead hung-up after about 4 rings.  No further info available.
