When I return call, it says this phone isn't accepting calls and says will transfer. Then it hangs up.

The person on the other line could not speak English very well.I asked what they knew about my student loans and they didn't have any info. Very choppy phone connection. They are unable to carry on a conversation without becoming confused. I called my debt consolidation company, and they said there would be no-one else that would handle the debt but them. I have also called the F.B.I. and the F.T.C and filed a complaint, I will be calling a bunch more people in the morning to find out how these people are able to access my info to contact me about my student loan. When I collect this info I will re post here with a follow up and on YouTube..

Just received a call from a suspicious person claiming her company assist the Dept of Ed with consolidation. I found that odd because I consolidated my student loans in Jan of this year. Seems like a scam.

Some guy named Miguel who barely knew English. Student loan relief I don't even have loans. don't know how he got my number. When i called him out he started stuttering and couldn't handle my objections. Sounds like a joke of a company. I know there are some company's doing this who know what they are doing.

Called at 10:24, the guy is obviously asian probably calling from a Philippines call center.
Hard to understand at first, but he did indeed say "Student Loan Relief"
Basically they're trying to talk you into letting them buy your student loan debt, what these companies do is they purchase it from your creditor for the settlement (typically 1/2 -> 3/4 what you owe), then charge you a little more than that in installments.
It's not a bad idea, but having a foreigner call with that sort of thing is a scary prospect, I hardly would want to give my information to someone whom speaks like they've been in the USA since birth, obviously when they sound like a foreign telemarketer I'm even less likely.
-- Stop these calls, get an application such as MrNumber for your Smart Phone. If you have a land-line all you can do is find a land-line phone system that allows you to block numbers or contact your service network and ask if they will do it for you.
