Caller ID says ALERT. Based on what I'm reading here, is a scammer. Also received call from 425-406-9293.

Most of these "alert" type callers are located in the Caribbean.   Some of these groups have been shut down in the US but they pop up overseas.

This spoofed number was successfully blocked by NOMOROBO. I have had this service since January and it has only missed about 3 robocalls. I did determine that they were from spoofed numbers, but when several of these same scammers called again a day or two later, they got blocked. Goes to show that the NOMOROBO algorithm that detects numbers generating a high rate of calls is going to get into the NOMOROBO database and be blocked by those using this service. I suspect that the more people using NOMOROBO will only cause the number spoofers to only be successful for an even shorter period of time (Hours?). I also use a blocker to nail the "OUT OF AREA" and "UNAVAILABLE" scammers. I think I have found the ideal suite of countermeasures to use against these SCUMBAGS. A note of reassurance - NOMOROBO does not block calls from doctors, pharmacies, schools, or local emergency alert systems that make a large amount of calls and in many cases, blocked caller ID information. I have tested this myself and have not had an issue yet.

They call me on a daily basis offering $3000.00 for this medical alert device.  I finally listened to the entire recording and waited for a live person.  Jason from this place hung up on me.

Eugene, Oregon, on the caller ID 458-201-243, I get this call two three times a day, since I filed Bankruptcy my attorney said that they have tried to contact them they either do not answer or they refuse to tell him why they are contacting me.

Left no message.  Called back from work; some message about "If you would like to be removed from our promotions list please press 1 now".  

You are paying in your telephone bill for caller ID, and the phone company charges the callers to block their phone numbers.
So what the hell is the use?

There are SOME Telemarketers that use automated dialers and they have always been illegal.

The ONLY purpose in the medic alert for seniors scammer's call to us, is to get our credeit card numbers, so they can cheat us!

When I saw " ALERT " on the CID I knew right away it was a canned medical alert system scam call. I didn't answer and it hung up on the machine.

Caution, 458-201-2430 is a "spoofed" number, which means that whoever called you "tricked" your caller ID to display an incorrect phone number and name. Telemarketers do this so you cannot trace them or file valid complaints.   Added to my blacklist.

Best defense is to get a call blocking device, app, or service.

Second time I have received a call from this number. It comes up on my caller ID as "ALERT". I never answer it and they never leave a message.

The DNC can't protect you from all the scam callers. It was just a matter of time before they did. As long as you allow them to go to the answering machine, they think they have a live number.  Most of the numbers calling are spoofed numbers and one outfit can place hundreds of calls using different spoofed numbers calling out from dialing machines.

A call blocker is your best bet these day's...

We are so fed up with theses calls.  We are on the do not call list and it does no good.  I went on line and gave my information, so that we would not get these call and I think we are getting more calls than before.  Now we are getting the calls on our cell phone too.  When the phone rings, I check the caller ID and if the number is not familiar, I let the answering machine take it, but these people rarely leave a message.

I can't imagine having a job where you call and harass people all the time.  The people that place these calls must be desperate for a job.

I think we will look into getting a machine that will block certain numbers.

I have complained to the FCC sooo many times about these calls and nothing is done.  The Do Not Call registry is a joke and a total waste of taxpayers money (but then, what isn't?).  I have a feature with my phone service where I can block up to 20 phone numbers so I put this number on that list.  But it makes me angry that the gov't doesn't do what it's supposed to and I have to be pro-active and go to all the trouble to do this!

Medical scam again. They don't care about the DNC list its a joke!

calls twice, leaves no message, clue that's it's a boiler room, calls more than once with purposefully no ID listed. Real telemarketers, I mean legit telemarketers adhere to the DNC list which I am on. This scum does not

Received a call from this number at 4:30 PDT.  I didn't answer, and they left no message.

The robo-message offered $3,000 worth of coupons and a free medical alert device.  I talked to a live person and advised them that I was on the Do-Not Call list and to take me off their mailing list.

Unlisted phone numbers are controlled by a government program?  Oh, Lord!

received this scam telemarketer  call. We are on the DNC list but these scam telemarketer callers do not care if we on the list. If they are a legitimate telemarketer they are suppose to request the DNC list from the govt. They do not do this so they are breaking the law. Are they crooks since they are breaking the law?

I am on the Do Not Call List and I keep getting calls anyway. Why isn't it working?

If you have a phone that blocks, do so. If you don't get one. Waste of time this is a scam.

Caller ID read "ALERT".  Left no message.

Received this call at 7:05pm......ID'ed as ALERT....didn't answer because we have received this same call numerous times.....Thank goodness for caller ID otherwise I would be answering this type of call all day long....So tired of it......
