My phone bill was also charged 25 cent international text message charge that reportedly was sent from my son's phone.  I accused him of sending message internationally, but after googling the number I am discovering that maybe it had something to do with the upgrade of his Sony Erickson phone. Still it was nothing we sent knowingly & certainly did not know we were being charged for. I had to apologize to my son for wrongly accusing him.

My daughter has this number showing up on our cell bill as txts, she was doing international txting (sweden) I told her it was costing too much and she needed to stop, after telling her this I started to see this number showing up on the bill (4676318897) I had found a site one time that mentioned it was not a real number but a fake one that is used when the person sending the txt doesn't want to be "caught". If this number is showing up on anyones bills, you should be suspious because its some type of spoof number to hide who your txting.

I found this on my husbands' text messaging history (AT&T)and looked up the area code. Says no such area code exists....but we didn't get charged for it. We know no one at this number either. Wierd!

I received a similar charge for international text messages sent to 4672749404 and 46737494040, soon after registering a new SonyEricsson Xperia mini10.

It has nothing todo with AT&T and it's not a fraud. I live in Turkey and use Turkcell, the same happened to me, I asked Turkcell and they identified the number as Sony Ericsson's service number. If you have a Sony Ericsson mobile everytime you upgrade the software your phone sends an SMS with the upgrade request and you get billed for that. If your service provider is reasonable they remove the charges.

Has anyone ever had cell phone numbers show up on their ATT bill that they did not make? We switched to At&t in November and the first bill there were several that are on my phone bill to another state that I do not even know of anyone living in.They are telling me I had to have dialed them from the phone, the number is disconnected so I can't even find out who had this number.

true true, it IS only 25 cents but i just received my first bill. Just like the rest of this page, i got the international text fee of $0.25. what is scarying me however, is that my bill also has these regulatory cost recovery charge and all these charges i wouldnt be getting if i never contacted anything from outside the US.

some kind of fraud and i hope it doesn't recur in the future...

I got one too, also Cingular and a sony. It's $0.25 a damn quarter... a gumball... not worth my time to whine about a quarter. I did want to research it though and make sure it isn't any thing fishy.

i got the same situation!

Just talked to Sony-Ericsson...that is the number your phone contacts when you register your phone after first turning it on.  So, for those who get this phone, when you first turn it on and it asks if you want to register, choose "NO".  That way you will not get the international text charge.  Sony-Ericsson also said that no one should ever be charged for registering their phone, even though it is being sent to Sweden.

Hope this clarifies it for everyone.

I too noticed this on my son's W580i phone.  AT&T took the charge off and blocked international calls/text from this phone.  I informed them of this problem with these Sony/Ericson phones.

We just got our bill from AT&T and had a 25 cent charge on 2 of our 5 phones lines to "46737494040 INTL TXT".  Just happens the charges were on the upgraded line to the W580i and the newly added line...also a W580i.  Called AT&T and got the charges reversed.  Thanks AT&T!  Someone is making a bundle...25 cents at a time.

I received a similar charge for a text message sent to 467/274.9404, soon after registering a new SE Z750a. I believe it's the result of a "registration" message sent to Sony Ericsson (which is prompted by the phone's software).

This number also showed on my husband's phone and he recently got a sony ericson W580i through T-mobile? Has anyone had this problem through t-mobile?

received this number as well on my husbands phone a sony 580i. there has been three txts and i've had at&t start an investigation. I told them about this web page and she tried to tell me we were making the txt. I said we did not make txt and it's ridiculous that people are getting in our phones. don't let it go REPORT IT!

Found a charge for outgoing text message to this number after activating sony ericson with at&t also!

This number was on our bill saying it was a text sent by my husband. He doesn't send text messages.  It was a 25 cent charge on the bill.

My husband had a text to this number on his bill after activating a Sony W580i also.  The same day a $20 unlimited text package was added to his phone that we did not request. Kind of coincidental that the day the text was supposedly sent to that number, he gets a $20 messaging package added to his cell. I called ATT and reported it.  It appears to me to be some kind of fraud.

I also recieved the same number on my ATT bill as a text for .25 cents.
I just purchase a new Sony/Ericson W580i last month. This is the first bill with the new phone and the number came up on my billing.

I found a .25 cent charge on my daughter's ATT&T cell phone bill for an international outgoing text message I was sue she hadn't made.  I looked up the phone # 467-374-9404 and googled it and found this page. Seems like it's happening to a lot of other AT&T cutomers from some fraud.  I called AT&T and they removed the 25 cent charge form my bill, but they wanted me to call and report the fraud to thier fraud dept.  i declined it's AT&T's issue to deal with you'd think they would want to protect their customers better than having me do the leg work for them!  What is 20,00 people get this fake charge and never check it, where's all that money going?   Get on the ball AT&T!

Same thing happened to me.
It's shown as "46737494040 INTL TXT" on my AT&T/Cingular bill (What about you guys?!).
After look it up, it could be Sweden Mobile number "Tele2 Sverige AB" from http://www.numberingplans.com/?page=analysis&sub=phonenr

I don't know what really happened but I am sure that I have nothing to do with none of those two numbers.

I had the same problem as joe. my phone said that i sent a text to that number, but i never did. on the bill it shows up as an international number so i got charged for the text
