Got a call today - refusing to verify the debt they claim I had.  Sorry no documentation no proof no money for you!

Follow the law - oh and got very frustrated when questioned about specifics.

Any so-called collection agency that refuses to validate the debt has no legal right to collect it.  But you already knew that, didn't you, since you violate the FDCPA every day for a living.

And the plot thickens. When I called the number back the voicemail says that her name is Miss Bell, and then a few calls later the voicemail says "Hey this is Tamara please leave a message." Then today and John Carmichael calls me with the same type of call and scare tactics but from a different number. I will post again what happens with this guy.

I got a call and voice mail from a Mrs. King. She stated that she was calling on behalf of an collection agency about a alleged payday loan that I supposedly did on line. Which I never did. When I explained that she kept interrupting me and telling me that her client was going to file a judgment against me. I explained that I have paid off all of my previous payday advances and if they would like to send me everything that their client has to verify the debt. I will look into it and if it is a valid debit I will pay it. She simply said sweetie its too late. My job is to try to help both you and my client before it gets to the point of taking legal action. So I asked her so if you really want to help have them send me what I asked for. She simply stated again that it was to late and kept saying that it was a bad check when it was done on line. It was a all over the place phone call. I feel that she was just trying to get me to repay something, by trying to scare me. Also what makes me feel this way is when I called the number about 20 mins ago which is after business hours I got a voice mail. Which was for a Mrs. Bell not Mrs. King and there was not a business name or job title stated on her voice mail. Just a warning that time is limited if a payment wasn't received. I think this is a MAJOR scam. I am calling first thing in morning and asking what the name of the company as well as the address and see what is said. I will post again tomorrow night to tell you what happens.
