Received bill today and see this number on it from 12/14. Looked here and immediately called Verizon. They said they will credit the bill for the $6 charge.  

You can dispute this with your phone company as a fraud. There should be a address and info to do this on your bill. Its called phone cramming BTW..  Also report this to your State Attorney General, the FCC & FTC..

These people actually called me and somehow made it seem like I called them for 25 minutes ended up costing me $50 extra on my long distance plan. I just tried calling the phone number and it was techno music.

6 phone calls  in 24 hrs....most between 1 a.m.and 3.30 a.m.  just some crazy sounding "music" contacted FCC  no calls for past 3 days........

Just called my cell phone @ 11:18 pm rang once than they hung up

Got a call from this number just now that rang once and then hung up.  No message left.

Hello everyone I received a call from the same number today around 2 pm.  I'm in GA but I have an IL area code for my T-mobile cell.  I am curious to find out if this could be linked to a computer download.  I recently downloaded a image converter software trying to download a holiday invitation template.  I uninstalled the program from my computer immediately, did a Norton cleanup, and used Norton Power eraser but I fear that there may be hidden malware embedded in my registry.  if anyone has done the same maybe we can get to the bottom of it.  

Also sending complaint to Homeland Security and calling the Grenada Embassy in Washington DC is a great idea Lou!

Did everyone here shop at Target during the breach, especially with a RedCard? Seems like it is what has happened.

my line only has had this issue same as you same two area codes, all hours even at 4am yesterday ring and hangs up, if you call back its an automated and your put on hold!!! i called verizon they did nothing but suggest a number change( figured if it doesnt stop after christmas ) ill do that but not at all happy, i had to ask them to make a report to the fraud depo!! whats up?? i dont know why this just all started Wed of this week for me

Our family has 3 separate lines calls started a couple days ago. Area code 473 and 767 we are Verizon customers. Kinda glad to hear that other companies are involved was worried that Verizon had a security problem. Was told to ignore them or change my number NOT HAPPY

I have gotten 5 calls in the past 3 days from 5 different numbers all identified as Grenada.  Have not answered and don't plan to.  473-520-9712 ; 473-520-9762 ; 473-520-9714 ; 473-456-1846 ; 473- 456-1759

I've received the same irritating calls from area code 473 three days in a row  on my Sprint cell phone. The numbers are all 473-520 the last 4 numbers are 9710, 9754, 9714, 9763. I called Sprint to have them block calls from those numbers or, prerably from the 473 area code. just now I got one from 473-520-9712 so I guess they couldn't block the entire area code. I also got one fro 767-275-9070 which is Domenica.
I don't know what these calls are about but they may be routing illegal activity via your phone number or data mining. I senta complaint to Homeland Security and called the grenada Embassy in Washington DC and they said they will infor the police in Grenada.
I encourage you to call the Embassy in Washingto or the Counselate in New York tom keep the pressure on. The FBI may also be interested.
Are all these calls coming in on Sprint cell phones?

My Grandfather and I have both been getting hang up calls from a series of these numbers. It happens a couple of times a day and then at 1 and 2 a.m. I am guessing there is no way to stop it if they keep calling from different numbers. We are on the same phone plan. Maybe AT&T sold phone numbers or got hacked?

Just got a call from this number. 473 520 9712 I'm on Do Not Call list. Guess that doesn't matter. Didn't answer the call and they didn't leave a message.  How can I block this type of calls.

Same thing and it happened twice today (473)520-9712 & (473)456-1759. I find it very odd this is all happening within the same month of 2013. Rings once then nothing. 12/18/2013 calls were 6 hours apart from each other.

I agree that the "do not call" list has not held up its end of the bargain; but really, trying it to the so-called "Obama-care" is absurd.

received a call on my cell phone from the Caribbean...the second call from the Caribbean in 2 days.

   Got a call on my cell from (473) 520-9712 @ 2:34am. Asleep and didn't answer, and no message was left. Called back in morning and got recorded message "Welcome to our services" followed by techno music interrupted every 15 seconds or so by another recorded message of "Please wait for the operator." Hung up after wasting about a minute. Searched the number on Google and found this site, thanks all for the helpful info.
  Next I Googled how to block calls on cell phone and used it first time for this number. At least I learned something useful from this annoying experience.

Received a call from this number 6 days ago, then again this morning. Did not answer but so curious.
473-520-9752.  Seems close to the other #.

This number comtinues to call mine and my husbands cell phone's at 3:00 AM..I get so made because when my rings at that time I think there is an emergency in the family..We have blocked it but some how they still get through..

Got a call from this number at 3:11 AM this morning. Ridiculous.

Received a call @ 2:43 AM did not answer checked it out on the computer and saw all the above messages

Thanks to all of you who and your comments.  I just got the call at 12:13am....scared me because you only get this kind of calls when it's something serious....didn't answer it and they didn't leave a message.  Just looked it up and read all of your comments which helped to know it's just a scam....bunch of low lives that won't get a real job but wanna live off others!!

Received a call from this "granada" number at  10:50pm MST.  Didnt answer and attempt to call back didn't do anything.  Added to call list of auto ditched numbers. Not worth anyone's time !!!
