My cell phone was charged for this call - not a landline

Has anyone made any recent Ebay purchases? I'm wondering if my recent purchase is connected to this number. I bought something off Ebay on this same day that could have been international - not sure. Maybe they called me about it. Bottom line is I didn't answer and didn't call it back and still got charged $42. But maybe that is part of the scam.

There are a couple of other posts here at 800notes that have referenced this same problem.

Received a call from this number. I didn't answer. Got a charge on my bill for $42 for MAKING an international call to this number in Grenada. My phone shows a missed call from this number but not an outgoing call. I never called them back and Verizon says I had a 24 minute call with them. That does not show on my phone and I would have remembered having a 24 minute conversation with someone. I fought it an Verizon did a "courtesy" credit since this is the first time this has happened to my account. But I'm so angry!!! Don't answer this number and don't call it back. I never called it back and still got charged for an international call.

DON'T ANSWER OR CALL BACK THE NUMBER!!! MY MOTHER RECEIVED A CALL AT 5 A.M. SHE CALLED BACK AND HEARD NOTHING BUT NOISE. FOR SOME REASON SHE LISTENED TO IT FOR 3 MINUTES AND WAS CHARGED $6.76 BY VERIZON WIRELESS.

This international number called me at 9pm EST. I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message, I never called back.

Do not call this number back. They call you and then hang up so you will call back. When you call back, you will be paying for an international call. Don't fall for this scam.

Actually if you do some real research you will find out that isn't connected in Grenada, and is actually linked to a Norway number. So it's white scum bags in Norway.

Received a call around 1:30 AM 12-7-13. Missed the call, no message left. Called back and got rave music and "please wait for the operator" . Call my cell phone company (Verizon) to check on charges. It cost me over $100 for calling them back for less than 15 seconds.

same deal, didn't even ring, but call registered, did not call back, knew better !

Received a call on 12/6/13 at 9pm. I saw the call on my cell but noticed the odd area code of 473 so I did not answer. I check the area code and it came up in Grenada. Must be some b***s*** as usual.

Unwanted call

These guys called at 3:47 in the morning. Rang just long enough to wake me up. Grrr!  I didn't call back.

Called late at night, I didn't answer.

Just got a call from this number at 127 IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT! I wanna know who it was but I'm not calling back. Rang once and hung up.

I missed a call from this number. Called back and heard a message that my phone is not authorized to call this number.

Got this call at 2:30 AM. No message left. Caller ID says  Grenada.

Rec'd call at 9:30 PM Mountain time on my cell phone. I was asleep and it didn't wake me so it probably only rang once.

Received call at 3 AM CST.  Rang once and hung up.  I agree with previous poster that it is scam.  Probably random numbers generated to various area codes to see if working.  Also numbers probably sold if they know it is an active number (e.g. the number rings and that's all they probably need.)  

Just called my cell number. Grenada area code. It as to be a scam. How many of us know someone from there?

Called at 10:25 PST on a Wednesday, left no message. Called back and got rave music after being asked to hold for the operator.

This number called me at 3:18am on my cellphone. First off, I do not answer calls that I do not know. Figure if they know me, they will leave a message.

4:36am in Michigan .... Rang only once. I don't need to speak to them so I won't return the call.

Called me at 10:23 pm 12/3/13  rang twice and hung up I did not answer
