THIS IS NOT A VALID PHONE NUMBER. THIS IS NOT FROM CITIZENS BANK OR ANY OTHER FINANCIAL INSTITUTION. THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION HAS TAKEN OVER THIS PHONE NUMBER AND PUT UP A RECORDED MESSAGE STATING THAT THIS IS A PHISHING SCAM. NEVER GIVE OUT ANY OF YOUR PERSONAL FINANCIAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE CLAIMING TO BE FROM YOUR BANK. IF YOU ARE ASKED FOR PERSONAL INFO, CALL THE NUMBER ON THE BACK OF YOUR CARD AND VERIFY THAT YOUR BANK IS TRYING TO CALL YOU.

Hello, we received a voicemail staing we needed to call their Security center to reactivate our card that had been suspended from Finance Federal Credit Union (couldn't completely understand the automated message I may have the name wrong).  Has anyone checked their phone bill after trying to call this number? I know there is also a scam that will get you to call a telephone number and charge you about $20 a second... Just wondering, I called it as well because i was concerned it may be ID theft and someone had an account opened out there in my name. Also, I found a website for "Financial Federal Credit Union", Seems to be legitimate (u never know these days though)which may be why this automated caller is difficult to understand trying to pass off as a Credit Union with a similar name.  My suggestion call the credit cards you actually own to verify nothing has occured without your concent, 2nd check your credit report (everyone is entitled to a FREE report every year from all three credit reporting agencies) to verify that noone has attempted to open an account in your name, check with your phone company or phone bill to verify that no outragious charges have been applied for calling this number (479)6969053.  Good luck everyone.

Our corporate voice mail system had this same message on several people’s voice mail boxes this morning. A corporate communications whet out this morning informing us that this was a scam and that this mailbox has been closed by the federal government and that the FBI are fully informed and taking actions.

Well, somehow I am upset that some automated scam company can call me every 5 minutes in the middle of the night and gets away with it.
Does anybody know what we could do about it? I really feel like doing something.
How about you guys?

We received call at 11:30 p.m. last night.  Automated message Citizens bank card has been suspended please call 479-696-9052.  This message was repeated again.  We have never heard of Citizens and when we called the number back automated message said to push 1 to activate and 2 to deactivate and our card number.  I think it is terrible that such things can take place.

I just checked my cell phone messages and I received one stating my debit card had been suspended.  I'm currently on vacation and got worried, but the more I thought about it and talked with my cousin, I realized it was a scam.  No name of my financial institution.  I had previously contacted them that I'd be on vacation as a forewarning, and I've had no problems using it throughout my vacation.  Plus it's not a 1-800 number.  Glad my cousin told me to google the number!!!

Got 3 automated calls from number 612-235-4363. the first one at 4.13am, 4.18am and 4.23am. phone rang only 2 times. I figured some automated system calls me every 5 min, so I stayed close to the phone and picked it up when it called the 4th time.
Then a voice told me that my card has been suspended, didn't tell me what card though and that I should call this number 479-696-9052
I did so and had the option to dial 1 for reactivating and 2 for cancellation. Then I hung up and tried to look it up in the internet. Found this page and wrote this message.

I also received a call similar to all of yours. Do not call the number as they will likely ask to "verify" information such as your social security number or other vital information, thus jeopardizing your identity. Please beware, and if someone knows how to, please report this number for fraud.
