have been getting calls from this number for the last 6 weeks, my caller I D says FOP.  Never leaves message and I have never answered.

The line traces back to Newroads Telecom in VanBuren Arkansas.

I have gotten several calls over the past months; the caller ID on my phone is archaic; the number displayed after TELECOM ENT is the one given below: 479-922-2197 but when I try to "return call" this phone won't insert a "1" before the area code.  When I manually dial the number there is complete silence followed by the distant sound of a number being dialed; then silence; then the TONE of a busy signal, but the long-short-long-short pattern that has a different meaning. The calls are nicely timed to disrupt supper--especially since there's no one to speak to.

Got a call tonight from this number. Guy asked for my wife. What are they trying to sell? We are on the DO NOT CALL registry.

You're right, they don't leave a message.  Makes no sense.  If I were anyone else, I'd just ignore all of their calls, just be wise and keep yourself safe.

number is from a business called Telecom. Its a telemarketing company that sells crap for a lot of different people.
