I called them back and said to stop calling and they still do sometimes. I'm not interested and told them neither is my family. I'm calling them back again

Annoying telemarketers that won't stop calling, ever! Block that number!
Rebecca 2013-12-04 16:55:54 Telemarketer
I have also been receiving calls from this number even though I have not requested information from them at any time.I have asked them to stop calling.
mama1234 2013-11-26 16:51:47 Unknown

sick of telemarketers 2013-09-23 02:58:00 Unknown
That is a load of crap. The ONLY people who have my cell number are people I actually know and have actually spoken the number to. I haven't applied for a job or requested info about education in about 12 years, have had my cell number for about 6 years yet got a call from this school (number) the other day. My number is also on the DO NOT CALL list. It's just another telemarketing scam who doesn't respect the laws!! If you are told to take a number off your list, the law says you have to stop calling it, PERIOD! The law the does not state I have to tell you calmly!

I got called for 4 days straight until I told them I found a school. This happened when I was looking for a job on other websites such as Retailgigs.com and SimplyHired (i think?). I always make sure to NOT check the box that says I want to look at colleges. Yet, they don't care! I still get calls
Anonymous 2012-10-08 22:29:21 Unknown
I received a call from a lady saying that I requested information over the weekend, which is false and she kept on asking me what course I would like to take. I had to disconnect the call since she would not tell me where she got my information from. I am also on the no call list.
Mel 2012-09-11 21:27:59 Unknown
It is an online University, South University, I contacted them through Education Connection. I filled the form out stating that I was available at 8pm & that I am a full time employee. Too bad no one paid attention. I will give them points for leaving a message with a contact name.
Single guy 2012-06-14 19:31:32 Unknown
Does your list get updated for the "no call" list? Why is the toll free call back number listed as being in India?
single guy 2012-06-14 18:57:52 Unknown
I keep getting calls from South University who got my number after I was pushed to consider finishing college by a third party applicant screener. Now not only am I looking for a new job but these morons keep calling. The number they give to call back 888-444-3407 is based in India. It must be a scam, I'm just glad I stopped them prior to filling out the tuition reimbursement info.
Ninja 2012-05-30 16:38:32 Unknown
Yes it's southern university regardless if you tell then ur not interested they will keep you on there call roster, basically anytime you request information from an ad site all colleges get ur information so if you do one that u like and there's 6 others they get it too, I have graduated and in my masters program and still get calls from them. Ridiculous that's what I say.....
buckeye 2012-05-22 19:53:10 Unknown
If you keep getting call from numbers u do not know, tell them that this call will cost $1000. But do it at the beginning of the call. they will not call u again. it works! and its legal.
pixiechick2804 2012-05-21 17:33:55 Unknown
That is an extremely rude remark. If you cannot understand why people are upset after being called all day you should find a different job. I am in the service industry and the customer IS ALWAYS right. Being the people your college calls repeatedly..... If somebody does request to be removed from your list and you put thier name back into your database I would consider that harrassment. I am one of those people you call. Oddly enough, I did not apply for a job online nor did I apply for college. Hmmmmm...... So tell me again how you got my number and why you are calling me?

I fell into it. Polite doesn't pay. NO F N THANK YOU WHATEVER UNIVERSITY!! Maybe they should teach ethics. Leave me alone
sevenmph 2012-04-16 14:37:28 Telemarketer
I have unlimited minutes, so I just answer and set the phone down. I'm sure they work off commission or incentive, so I let them talk to air.
To the South U. rep here that explained how this works, thanks. However, why would you think its good business practice to immediately bombard a potential customer's phone for weeks on end.
I am now attending an online university, but not South, or American because of their harrassing phone recruitment.
Brrrgirl 2012-03-29 21:38:04 Unknown
They keep calling me and never leave a message. I already have a degree from a REAL university so I have no use for them. They are worse than collections! Honestly, sitting with a friend for lunch, she received one call from a credit card company and I received three from this "South University"!

Keep calling my cell phone. very annoying and costly.
elle23 2012-01-19 01:01:09 Unknown
i called them back and talked to a very polite man, he removed my name from their calling list, we'll see if it works!!
South University Rep 2011-11-18 17:55:40 Unknown
I am a rep at South University online, and what happens, is if your applying for a job and the application asks if you are interested in furthering your education, they assume you mean right now, so once you hit submit, your information gets sent out to many colleges, not just South University. Also, if you request any information through 3rd party websites about college or directly on South University website, you are requesting to be called. We have a database of names and numbers we call all day long from people who are interested, if it's a mistake and your not interested, all you have to tell us is, I am not interested and please take me off your list (calmly), if you yell at us and get mad at us for doing our job, i noticed some reps will just put you back into the database so you will be called again just because you were rude.
Your best bet is to just let us know nicely your not interested and the calls will stop.

yea i had told them i found a school and they keep calling me even on saturdays... lame
Student 2011-06-20 21:54:29 Unknown
It is South but it is a College based out of Georgia. I am going to school for Law and this school is not just able to transfer but also barr apporved. Once i answered it was helpful, I only get called now when I ask them to email or call.

This number 4803271300 is getting annoying. They called me once a day for about a month then stopped calling. Yesterday they called again and today twice and it is barely 10AM here. Anyway to get them to stop calling and soon.
CJ Kberg 2011-06-06 20:49:36 Unknown
I have not inquired about an on-line college. This college illegally contacted me because I'm on the "no-call" listing for Indiana. I didn't answer the call, but the number came from Phoenix,AZ.
Adam 2011-06-06 20:49:36 Unknown
Its southern university. I get several calls from them everyday, it is sooooo damn annoying. They finally left a message telling me to call them. I have repeatedly told them to not call me and they continue to do so.
CHW 2011-06-06 20:49:36 Unknown
Yup that's a'firma' South University, online like U o Phoenix.
Annoyed 2011-06-06 20:49:36 Unknown
Yes, it's South University. I requested information and received a bunch of annoying calls even though I specifically asked the rep to contact me via email. I was passed around to multiple admissions representatives who became progressively annoying. I had to get snippy with the last one in order to get her off the telephone. My baby was crying in the background and she continued her sales pitch even though I told her that I had to go several times. I guess they are at it again. Thank goodness my new phone has a "block" feature. Check into it! If your telephone does not have this feature perhaps your telephone company can block the number for you.
Karie 2011-06-06 20:49:36 Unknown
I just got a call from this number. I changed my number a couple of months ago and now I am getting lots of calls for the person than had this number before. I put it on the do not call. They are not even decent enough to leave a message.
sarah 2011-06-06 20:49:36 Unknown
yep, south university. i requested not to be contacted by phone, and yet i get 2 calls per day from them, and have every day for the last 4 months.
Charlie 2011-06-06 20:49:36 Unknown
South University is apart of CareerFinder since both seem to call me every single day! If you signed up on a website in regards to finding employment, they more than likely took the time to talk to you about education and now are going to contact you every single day until you have probably signed up with there services or help which is extremely annoying... I emailed careerfinder @ an email that has request in the front .. it's suppose to be a stop calling email list which is odd you have to go to that extent but I emailed them hopefully it'll make them stop if not... I have another method I am taking but its sad they know no end to there calls.
