Have received dozens of these calls over the last few weeks on my cell, each time from a different #, so it can't be blocked. This is an MCI/Tracphone #. The guy buys these in small blocks and uses them up, then moves on, so the numbers can't be blocked. I found a # the the Tracphone management office and called them (866-234-4357). I told the woman that I'm receiving the same robocall from "Rachel" several times a day, each time with a different Tracphone number, so its impossible to block it. She said there was nothing she could do about it. I asked her if they started getting dozens of calls a day about this guy if they might do something then. She wasn't sure. Lets find out. Give them a call now: 866-234-4357.

Solve this problem with a SILENT ring tone.
To do this use the record option on your phone. Record SILENCE for 1 second. Save the phone number that you want and assign the name "Do not answer". Assign the silent ring tone to this number.
After that when they call you will not be bothered because you will not hear a ring as it is silent. The only way you know they called is when you look at your phone and see that you missed a call. When you see the missed call was from "Do not answer" you can just laugh.
Does not block the call but otherwise solves the problem.

this # 480 535 5930 was all that showed on my caller ID. Like Spam on my computer.
Do not answer these kind of calls and maybe they will use/waste a lot of their time not mine.

3 question political survey then you win a 2 day/night cruise to bahama from florida. All you have to do is give them your name, address and credit card # to pay $118 for port taxes...and they will mail you tickets that you have 18 months to redeem.
You have to buy now. They won't give you a number to call back and verify who they are. Claim your credit card is protected by your multi-million dollar credit card company and visa and master card have personally given them permission to accept credit card payments. Claim they are carribean cruise lines and have partnered with political polling agency.
I was kindof excited to get my first ever credit card scam call !!! She was almost 20% convincing.

They pretend to be a survey. If you answer the survey, they'll give you a free cruise to the Bahamas. They're not interested in your opinion. It's a scam. Don't bother with them; just hang up. The "survey" is how they skirt the Do Not Call law.

When anyone calls like this I just pick up the receiver and press the pound key for a minute or two or until
they hang up. I read somewhere this was supposed to kick you phone number out of their system.
Hope it works.

They call and hang up. This is blunt harrassment. Many companies violate this law.

Just received a call from 480-535-5930...did not recognize area code nor number...did not answer. No message left...glad I didn't answer. I figure if someone wants to talk to me, they would have the courtsey to at least leave a message. Here are 10 Ways to Terrorize Them:
10. When they ask, "How are you today?" Tell them! "I'm so glad you asked because no one these days seems to care, and I have all these problems, my arthritis is acting up, my eyelashes are sore, my dog just died..."
9. If they say they're John Doe from XYZ Company, ask them to spell their name. Then ask them to spell the company name, and where they are located. Continue asking them personal questions about their company for as long as necessary.
8. If they ask you to take a survey, tell them, in as SINISTER a voice as you can, "I'm so glad you called...no one EVER calls me...please be my friend"
7.Cry out in surprise, "Judy/Joe! Is that you? Oh my God! Judy/Joe, how have you been?" Hopefully this will give Judy/Joe a few brief moments of pause as she/he tries to figure out where the hell she/he could know you from.
6. If they want to loan you money, tell them you just filed for bankruptcy and you could sure use the money.
5. Tell them you are on "home incarceration" and ask if they could bring you a case of beer and chips.
4. After they give you their spiel, ask him/her to marry you. When they get all flustered, tell them you could not just give your credit card number to a complete stranger.
3. Tell them you are busy at the moment and ask them if they will give you their HOME telephone number so you can call them back. When they explain they cannot give out their HOME number, you say, "I guess you don't want anyone bothering you at home, right?" Hopefully they'll agree and you'll say, "Now you know how I feel."
2. Insist they are really your buddy Leon playing a joke. "Come on Leon, cut it out! Seriously, how's your momma?"
1. Tell them to talk VERY SLOWLY because you want to write EVERY WORD down.
Hopefully these 10 Ways will get them off ya'lls backs!!

There are over 50 new free info web sites that have & post detailed personal info including cell numbers. I found it last week & spend a couple of hours a night blocking my info. Also, all the major banks & insurance companies have been allowed to change their privacy policies & disrespect any past opt out options we all chose.

This is a political survey. It is not legal for them to leave you a message, but they are allowed to cll and ask you to participate. The problem is - they have a terrible system and a lot of times, when you answer, there isn't anyone there.
Best thing you can do is ignore them.

Calls and leaves no msg I never answer

I did not recognize the number, therefore, I did not answer the phone. No message was left!

They just called my cell but I didn't answer because it was an unknown caller.
If it really is the Bahamas Celebration then don't bother. We got a free cruise on that ship for attending a tine share presentation. The ship is a dump as cruise ships go and the crew was not very friendly. They stepped over seat cushions that had blown onto the deck floor instead of picking them up. The tables weren't cleared or wiped down between between diners. They also try to rope you into spending your first couple hours on board listening to a time share presentation.
If you're desperate to go on a cruise then go for it but understand that it's not the 'usual' cruise experience.

Called me on 2/3/12, left no message, caller ID says Phoenix AZ. Sounds like a robo-dialer with a computer generated list of numbers.

Called my cell. Call appeared to be terminated as soon as I picked up the phone. All I heard was my phone beep as if the call had ended. Caller ID indicated from Phoenix, AZ. This is the second time this exact sequence of events has happened from a number originating in Phoenix. The other number was 480-535-5740.
