caller ID says First Americas

Called back and says "All circuits are busy at this time"
Not sure who they are or what they want.

Didn't recognize the number but I answered the phone.  I got the usual recording about my vehicle warranty expiring.  I added them to my address book as 'DontAnswer' so I know to ignore them in the future.

this number called me tonight and didn't leave a message.  i called back and it said "hello, you have been placed on our do not call list.  we apologize for any inconvenience.  Please allow 24 hours for this to occur".  I think it's connected to Progressive car insurance. They apparently sold my number. I received an online quote from them this afternoon and they asked for my phone number.

I got a call too from this number while I was out. Didnt leave a voice mail. Good thing I checked here before calling back.

Called me, said that a vehicle warranty was about to expire, and that this was the second call (even though i have had the phone number for about a month). The automated message told me to press #1 to speak with a customer representative, so i did. I waited a couple minutes and a girl answered the phone, I asked what vehicle she was referring to, she said she didn't have that info but it would be a vehicle between 1997 and 2007 (pretty much everyone drives a car between those dates). I have a 2008, so i told her she must be mistaken, she said that a mix up must of occurred and she would fix the problem and take my number off the list... Sounds like a scam to me, but who knows...

This scum has been barraging my cell phone with vehicle warranty extension crap.  I saved all the numbers and used reverse lookup.  All but this one appear to have a legitimate name associated with them, all from various states.  I appears that some scum is spoofing the phone numbers of innocent people, and I say that's reason enough to have these scamsters torn into little pieces, not to mention using my !@#$%&* cell phone minutes.

This numbner has called me home several times and my work plus my work blackberry.  I have no idea how to stop it but several people at work say the number has called them as well.  Anyone have any idea how to stop it?

I don't have caller id and my number is a business line.  I answered pressed the number so that I could get the company name (Auto Warranty) and their operator told me 'go f*** yourself'.  Her name was Sheena and the reference number was 55523.

I received a call from this number today. A recording stated that my vehicle coverage would end immediately, that this was their 3rd and final attempt at contacting me. I was told my "coverage" would end if I did not respond. It sounded like my insurance was up, which I knew wasn't true. So took down the reference number they gave me and stayed on the line to talk to a "representative". The lady said hello, and I asked what company this was. She immediately hung up on me. I called the number back and was told to press 1 to be placed on their "Do not call list". That was all. I waited to speak to someone and was disconnected after a few seconds.  This has to be a scam, if simply asking them their company name spooks them.

Caller ID said First Americas. I don't answer calls from people/businesses I don't know, so I connected the call and then immediately disconnected.

Got a call from this number today.  Same thing, last chance on a warranty. So I pressed to speak to someone.  (by the way, I was given the same Reference Number as bill above, 55523) The guy essentially asked me what I wanted!  I said "you called me, apparently because my car warranty is up)  He asked what type of vehicle and I said, "that's the funny part.  I don't own a vehicle."  He sort of grunted and SLAMMED the phone down!  Ha, I own three vehicles, but have gotten so many of these damn calls that I've decided I will spend my time messing with them EACH AND EVERY TIME THEY CALL!

recorded message that this the 3rd and final notice about expiring vehicle warranty coverage.  Information not valid....and we're on the Do Not Call list!

This number appears on a lot of phones that are no call lists.  They should be disaplined

I returned a call from this number to my cell phone- I thought it was a friend of mine who lives in Pennsylvania. I got a recording that said "thanks for calling, this confirms that you will be placed on our do not call list". I think I just confirmed for them that it is a good cell phone number and they can sell it to advertisers. I'm sending this number to the Dept of Consumer Affairs in my state. I hate this kind of scam.

i received a call from this number, saying that my vehicle warranty has expired then they hang up. right after, i call and no one answered.

About a vehicle warranty, its a scam, maybe not an out-and-out con, but is shady none the less.
