I'm very careful how my number is given out.  I live inYork County so when I get phone calls from out of area i don't know I call screen. I looked this number up ton google. Sine 99% say its telemarketer I went ahead and blocked it.

This is a known electricity slammer.  They pose as your electricity company, ask for your account number so they can give you the "lower rate you are entitled to", and then switch your electricity provider on you.  Report them to your state PUC.

This number just called our land line. It was an unidentified number so I did not answer as we never answer numbers we do not know.

Called twice. 1/28/2014 @ 9:19 am and 2/26/2014 @ 2:54pm. No response from other end either time. Just some "rustling noise" then the caller hung up.

Just add the number to your contacts and assign a "no ring" for the ringtone. Works every time! I have done this to a few numbers. I'm registered with Do Not Call so I'm not sure how they get through. Hope this help ya. ;)

ComCast says from "Pennsylvania".  We didn't pick up, they left no message.  Thanks everyone for alerting us about this (high-pressure "save money on electric bill" - last time I switched to a cold-call company, I wound up paying a lot of money to save a few pennies).  I'm adding their number to my call screener!

This is a known scam. If you aren't careful, you'll be slammed, and switched to a different electricity provider without your consent. Best to hang up before the pitch starts.

They keep calling; wants my electric company account # to be able to tell me if I qualify for a discount thru them.

received  3 or 4 calls  the last several wks.  nobody at other end!!  almost broke my a** trying to get to one of my phones to answer it this a.m. at 10;17 (FEB.10,14).   I am really pissed!

Multiple calls from this number, but no messages. I have no idea who this is.

Call was answered by my daughter. It seemed to be a voice activated recording or autodialer transfer. They were asking to speak with the person responsible for the electric bill. My guess is an attempt to switch electric providers deceptively. I suggest reporting to PUC and AG.

Called me at 9pm after I just laid down in bed. The guy asked to speak to the person responsible for the electric bill. I asked him if he had any idea what time it was because I couldn't believe I was getting a call like this at this hour then he proceeds to say "No because you're the only one with a clock in Pennsylvania" and hung up. I have never been more infuriated in my life. Whoever these people are should be imprisoned for harassment.

Same here. Got a call from 484-720-1044 and when I answered, I could hear imaginary crickets. Nothing.

My suggestion to all is to report this to the Attorney General's office ASAP.

There is a scam occurring that by simply answering the call, you might risk identity theft. Weird, but the research I've done, this may be the case.

Want to talk to the person that owns the electric bill!   I asked who this was that is calling!  and they hung up!

They called 9pm and kept ringing. They left a message on my machine that was barely legible. I screen all my calls and the ones I do not know look up on the computer instead of answering. If it someone I know they will call back or leave a legible message.

Same thing...answer the phone and silence. I try to call back and can't get through.

I called back hours later and received silence.

Same thing happened to me.

Received phone call from 484-720-1044, caller ID indicated Anondale PA.  Since I didn't know anyone from Avondale, I answered it after the third ring and got a blank line.  No doubt this is either a political, survey or telemarketing call.  I live in the Pittsburgh PA area.  Avondale is south of Philadelphia, on the other side of the state.
