Thanks to all who have posted here. I've been getting repeated calls from this number (which I haven't answered). It's always suspicious if someone calls my office multiple times without leaving a message. I will continue to ignore the calls and hope they stop that way.

Report them to the national do not call registry.

Male with Indian accent tried to "verify information" supposedly obtained from a public source.

got a call from a male with an Indian accent -- something about wanting to verify my information. The context of the call made no sense and it is utterly outside of any normal business conduct with which I am familiar. I hung up on them and will continue to do so if they continue to call. Scammers!

Same idiot indian dude. First question was "Is this a doctor's office?" followed by a baffled "no", second question was "Is this a residence?" followed by me saying: "So you're calling to verify information you got off the internet", taken aback, he responded "yes".
I quickly ran him through, in my best angry oklahoman redneck voice ( which I had answered the phone with ) with "Listen dude, I don't give out this number, I'm the litigious type. You've called me 8 times in the past 2 days. If you don't take me off your damn list I'm going to have your a**. Goodbye."
Two weeks later, I'm finding my phone number ( is a cellular I don't give out to anyone ) has been registered to an illicit AIM account. I am standing on AIM's abuse and will be coming after this man with a bill for a dollar per caller/message I get in a bill, and then in a lawsuit.
Offending alpha geeks is really, really, incredibly stupid.
Suggest future receivers of calls from this number answer as if you are a pay per minute pornographic hotline that begins billing immediately.
