Anyone who is getting unsolicited robocalls or autodialed calls on their cell phone from this number should preserve all evidence and consult an attorney.  These calls are a violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and are worth $500 to $1500 apiece.

yeah they calll my house at all hours of the day and night. but every time i pick up no one is there.

These people have been calling me for six months! Call my cell. At work at home, night and day. Funny thing is there is no answer. I WANT to talk to a person so I can blow a big shrill whistle in their ears.

Got a call from this number today, it was an automated message stating to call the 800-824-6191 in reference to an account of 044400688. From other sources including this one apparently this is a debt collection company. I don't have any debts to collect so I am kind of curious on why they are calling me.

Its a fraud. Do not give them information and call the police.

This same number has been calling us for three months or more. My husband said to just ignore it like the other numbers I didn't recognize. Their calls have increased, though, so he finally answered it last night (they call all hours of the day and night.) He was told that it was a private call just for me and they wouldn't speak to him. Today, I answered it. This female immediately jumps in on why I had stopped paying my account and how this was headed for a collection agency. I told her I had no idea what she was talking about. She said something to the effect that I should just drop the act, she had dealt with thousands of deadbeats before, I owed the bill and, if I didn't want it turned over to a collection agency, I should make a payment arrangement right away. I was getting super upset so I told her that my husband was handling all of our bill paying and accounting so she needed to talk to him. She said they were not allowed to and this was an attempt to see if I was refusing to pay since I had ignored all of their letters. I said, "What letters?!?" Again with the snotty attitude of, "We know you've read them because they never came back to us." I said I had not even heard of such a letter and my husband would have surely said something to me about this. She actually laughed. I snapped and half yelled at her something like, "Listen, ma'am, I have some mental problems and that is why my husband handles these things--I just can't deal with them any more." So she says, "Well why did you open the department store card and run it up and not pay for it?" I told her I had done no such thing. She asked why I had made payments on it in the beginning. I asked what department store she was referring to and she said, "Okay, I'll play along...Helzberg." I just about fell over! I said, "Helzberg, as in the diamond store?!?" Her snotty reply, "Well, yes, but you already knew that." Okay, boiling point reached. I told her if she was so smart she must have heard of identity theft. She said, "Sure, I've heard of that excuse before." I said that was enough, I wanted to speak to her superior--of course they don't do that. I said I wanted them to send a registered letter addressed to me personally so I would have to sign for it and I could see what they were talking about--of course they don't do that. So I told her I'm not about to pay a bill that I knew nothing about. She sweetly chirps, "Thank you, that's I needed to hear. I'll take this as a refusal to pay your bill and you can deal with a collections agency." I said, "Wait a minute--you twisted my words and," CLICK! Silence...dial tone...recording, "If you'd like to make a call, please hang up and dial again or call your operator.

Contact the Kentucky Attorney General's office of consumer complaints. They will respond and put this company on notice, especially if they keep harrassing you. To help your case you can either write to them or send an email; make sure you list the calls if you have a record of them. And if you have spoken to these people and they wont leave you tell the AG that as well. Kentucky law authorizes a person to record a phone call between the person calling and the person being called, but you can't record a conversation between 2 people withou their knowledge. But anyone who calls you or that you call is free game.

Called someone I know, and told her that I gave them her phone number (I have never had her phone number, so that is a lie), and that I should get back with them as soon as possible. Of course, it is a collection agency, and I have nothing to tell them. I wish there was a place where I could report this so that they would stop making harassing calls, especially to people like my friend who isn't even involved with any debt collection.

I looked up the number and the calls are from First National Collections Bureau, although there number or name does not appear in the caller ID. Shady operation at best.

these people keep calling automatic system asking for a nila evans well dont no her and she dont live here and i have told them that many many times. and caller ID shows Local Office ... im tired of them calling im on the do not call list.

They've been calling me for months asking for someone that probably used to have my number.

This number has been calling all morning.  Caller ID says 'Local Call', we're not in KY; and they don't leave a message.  I decided to call it back, company name is First National Collections Bureau.

June 4, 2012 8:10 p.m. Received a call from La Grange,KY.  Did not answer. LNM,  The only thing I know about La Grange,KY is there used to be a prison or juvenile center there. Boiler room operation out of the prison using prisoners???
