When they call, most of the time no one ever answers when you pick up. Or, they tell you about a survey or cruise. I'm sick of it. They have no discretion about the time they call. Much of the time we're just sitting down to have dinner. If you don't pick up at all, they will continue to call. Same for many of the "reputable charity organizations". It is sickening!

political survey: if you agree to participate in the 30 second survey you'll get a free 2-day cruise to the bahamas (which you'd have to pay taxes and I forget what else) . The message said to press 9 to decline the survey and be removed from their call list.

The FCC should rule political calls are not exempt as well.

Got a call from 502-632-4428. The phone identified the call as originating in Kentucky. It was for a political survey that would reward me with a free cruise. Yeah.
These people call over and over again. If I am not home and the number appears on my answering machine, I call and a recorded voice offers to take me off their list if I push a certain number on the phone. It doesn't make a darn bit of difference. I am on the state and Federal no-call lists. I don't understand what use it is if these people can just make you miserable!
